Experience Description

My neighbor dropped me off at an Urgent Care facility because I couldn't breath, having asthma and bronchitis. I was taken by ambulance from the Urgent Care facility to an emergency room.

As we pulled up to the hospital and they took me out of the ambulance, I started seeing my surroundings very differently. I was sure that they lifted the gurney to maximum height for some reason. I was at least 10 feet in the air, looking down. I remember as we entered the halls of the hospital that the ceilings ties were right next to my body and face, and the floor was a long way down. They started to intubate me, quickly grabbing plastic doo-dads and hoses.

I remember a panic feeling and then came back. I asked why they put me so high, and was I contagious or something. They all swung around with odd looks on their faces. I have since learned that gurneys do not go that high!

I now am certain that I had an NDE.
