Experience Description

I was deep sea diving with my brother James, 17 years old, and the diving teacher. For some reason he took us on a boat, and decided to dive to 240 feet (which is only for professionals). The bottom, which was of sand, looked flat but wasn't, so we kept going deeper. At one point, I saw an enormous amber shell planted in the sand. I was happy so decided to bring it up; it was about 1 meter tall, in the shape of a mussel. I grabbed it and swung with all my might, it hardly budged. I had sucked all my oxygen doing that, and we were all bingeing. I asked for air from my brother, who played with his mouthpiece and me. After three tries, I figured he'd never realize I was really out of air. I had my reserve, but with bingeing, I had no thought of just pulling it! As I was dying, I could feel that soon I would take my mask and mouthpiece out, and my brain was telling me, 'You're under water, very deep, not logical, you'll die.' But you know you're going to do it anyway!

I decided to use my last energy to join the teacher who was pretty far away, swam to him and grabbed his arm strongly. The two decided to bring me to the surface. They didn't give me air from 240 feet it took 45 minutes! Suddenly I came out of my physical body, looked at the scene, came closer to see and recognize myself, big shock! Then I popped into a marvelous Light, so bright and yet non- blinding, pure love, all knowing. I had a choice, stay (which you really want) or go back. I thought I'm 19 years old, my parents, brothers, friends will be sad (although I had no idea of what happy or sad meant). I thought that I don't want to be born again. At that second, my body surfaced and my other body slapped back into my physical body with great force. It was 45 minutes later.
