Experience Description

I was in a head-on collision where my car and the other car were each traveling about 45 mph. I went through the windshield, hitting the glass and was propelled through the air. I don't remember that happening but I had glass in my face and the windshield was missing. I was laying on the ground unconscious.

Before waking up, I remember seeing the brightest white cloud you could ever imagine. In the center of the cloud was an image of the face of Jesus. He told me, 'It's not time yet.'

After that, I instantly woke up to chaos and confusion due to the loud sounds of ambulances and police cars. My head hurt tremendously and I couldn't see straight because of the concussion.

I always remembered vividly that experience and without a doubt know that it was real. I am further emboldened by the fact that others were told 'It's not your time yet' in their near death experience.

I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. I remember the NDE much better than events after my return to consciousness.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? The experience is very personal and comforting to me. I feel like God had a reason for keeping me alive, although I'm not sure what that reason would be.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes It was 20 years after that I shared my experience with anyone. I have only shared it with my mom, dad and best friend after 20 years. However, I remember the experience like it was yesterday.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real. It was real to me and I knew it happened after I woke up.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real. It felt real at that time and knowing others have heard 'it's not your time yet' confirms it even more so. I didn't know about NDE before it happened.
