Experience Description

I was at the oral surgeon's office this morning for a dental implant. I had nitrous oxide, which I have had before but I've never had this experience before. I felt like I was quickly going toward this long, very bright light and I saw a shadow of a man and I realized and thought, 'I am dying, I have to go back to my children.' I kept thinking my daughter's name. I woke up and had tears running down my face. The doctor and his assistants were acting very concerned. They told me that I gave them a scare.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes At first it was dark and it wasn't until I saw the long tunnel of white, bright light that I realized where I was. I did not go through it. I wanted to go back to my children. It happened so fast.

Did you see any beings in your experience? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Uncertain I saw a shadow of a man (I think) and that is when I thought I am dying and I want my daughter.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt curious I think, like I wanted to go and keep going but then when I saw the BRIGHT light and the shadow of someone and realized that I was leaving my children I felt scared and wanted to come back.
