Experience Description

I was knocked unconscious. I thought I woke up, but something shot out from my face, leaving streaks of color behind it. I found myself shooting upward and looking down at someone trying to wake me up. It was a friend of mine. I was completely confused about what was happening and how any of this was possible.

I then looked down and realized I did not have a body. I noticed that I was in an illuminated, oval, eyeball-shaped form. There were strands of what looked like some kind of material hanging below me, and there appeared to be wings to my left and right. I could not look directly to either side, so I only saw these shapes out of the corners of my vision. To this day, I still do not know what they were.

I then saw myself trying to get up off the ground, but I kept falling from side to side, unable to catch my balance. I could see myself from above, but at the same time I also felt as though I was still partly inside my body.

I then found myself back above myself again, but in a different place. There was nothing around me this time. I could see my body lying a few feet away from where it had originally been. I was lying on my side, and my friend was kneeling beside me.

At that point I became very emotional, wondering why nobody was doing anything. Somehow I knew I was dead because I knew they were going to have a funeral and bury me. I felt like I wanted to cry.

Just then, I kept looking over my left side even though I did not have a shoulder because I felt the presence of someone there. The presence was so close that it felt as though it could have been touching me. As I kept looking back and forth, I saw my body being lifted off the ground in slow motion.

As my body came closer, all of my emotions disappeared. I then began to feel love within me and all around me. I felt as though I was being held like a baby and was surrounded by a love so powerful that I wondered how anyone could love me so much after everything I had done during my life.

After that moment, I found myself back in my body and already standing on my feet. I stood there for a moment trying to process what had just happened. The friends I was with never said a word, and I did not ask any questions. I have not spoken to any of them about it since that night.

Today, God is with me every moment of every day without me even trying. There has been more activity since then, including experiences that many people would describe as paranormal. I am also sometimes able to recognize other NDErs, even when simply passing them.

I refuse to go to organized religious churches. I don't believe in denominational churches. I pray and spend time alone with God every day. Every day is Sunday for me. There is no stopping.

Being held and feeling love vibrating through every part of my being, feeling like a baby being held.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my life
I have completely made a 180 from the person I was to having a very strong love of God in me. Not all the time though. I try to treat people with kindness, learn forgiveness, help others understand the meaning of life, and try to be a good example of walking a life of God.

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Yes
I've lost family and friends. I've put my daughter in a bad position where she was unable to speak to me about it or be around others.

Could not express how powerful the love was and could not explain the wings or eye shape I was in looking out.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience
I can explain this experience in detail no matter how much time has passed. It's been over 18 years and I still remember it like it happened yesterday.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes
I can come across a complete stranger and recognize they have had an experience and have the love of God in them. I can read people. I have great empathy, compassion, and love for others. I recognize people who belong to God. When I come across another NDEer, it feels like I got punched in the chest sometimes and I feel like I'm one with that person. We can see each other without words being spoken.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Being lifted up from the ground and held by what I believe to be Jesus.

About 12 years roughly, and no one believed me and thought I was crazy, so I quit sharing.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real
I knew it was real. I put it away because I knew people would not believe me. I was probably in a trance for several weeks.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real
I remember every detail. God is in me every day now. I have completely changed my life. I try to take myself back there all the time.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? Yes
I've felt like I went through a tunnel and experienced God and Jesus together. Although I'm not sure if it was in a dream.
