Experience Description

I only remember getting stung and not being able to breathe.

Then, I was immediately in a place of the brightest all-lightness. It was the most peaceful, calm place. A voice told me I had to go back. I started pleading with it to let me stay as I didn't want to go back. But, I was forced to return.

It was an experience that has given me the utmost peace since. I will not fear death ever again, as I know what it feels like. I don't grieve for those that went before me. I do credit it to my faith and my knowledge in my very being that it was the closest to Heaven I could have been.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning

Did you see any beings in your experience? No

Did you see or feel surrounded by a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes
The brightest light I had ever seen... all white.

Did you seem to enter another world? No

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Utmost happiness and extreme euphoria

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Incredible joy

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

Did you suddenly understand everything? Everything about the universe
Everything made sense... but I wasn't aware at that moment what "everything" was.

Did scenes from your past come back? No

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? No

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will
I was told I had to go back and then I woke up.

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience
It is consistent with my belief in a life after death... of a Heaven and a Hell, that upon death you will be in one or the other depending on your relationship with Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father/God.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? No

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I heard a voice I could not identify
It was telling me I had to go back... It was not time.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? No

I knew it was a Godly presence.

It was just an awareness that I understood "it all." I just can't verbalize what that means.

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? No

Did you gain information about how to live our lives? No

During your experience, did you gain information about life's difficulties, challenges and hardships? No

During your experience, did you gain information about love? Yes
What I felt was just complete love and happiness, joy, calm, peacefulness, and euphoria.

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? No changes in my life
It made me less worried about those in my life if they died... I now know what waits for them as they have a professed faith in Jesus Christ and will be with him in eternity.

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Yes

After the NDE:

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes
I have never experienced that level of peace, comfort, or calm. It was the most euphoric and happy I had ever been. No one alive can understand that feeling.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience as accurately as other life events that occurred around the time of the experience
It is still vivid in my mind and heart.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? No

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes
I immediately shared it. They know me and believe my experience to be true. They were happy to know.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes
Just from media. No.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real
It is as real to me now as it was then.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real
This seems repetitive. It happened, I believe it, and I still rest in that knowledge of what will happen to me upon actual death.
