Experience Description

I remember doing a shot sitting next to my girlfriend's mentally handicapped son. It is a blank from the time I pushed the drugs into my vein until the time I became aware again.

I felt like I was shooting down a tunnel at light speed. It was darkness as far as I know, with hints of different shades of black if you can imagine it. I think for the most part I was scared because I did not know what was happening at the time, but then it hit me. I must have overdosed. All of a sudden the light speed changed direction, like my fear drove me back towards my body. I did not want to die. How I knew I was speeding back toward my body I do not know, but I did. A tiny prick of light was in the distance, but it was very far away. As I got closer I realized that the light was my eyes, like looking through a window. I could hear my girlfriend saying, "No, we can't give up on him, spray him again." She was beating on my chest, and then I literally felt my soul come back into my body, or vessel as I now realize.

As I did, I took a long breath, breathing in as hard and as fast as I could like someone having a panic attack. I was so scared. My girlfriend was mad, but as soon as she saw the fear on my face she said, "Aww, he's scared." The look on my face was of pure fear. I cried instantly and could not believe what had happened.

Here are a few more details I was told. My girlfriend found me and could not get in the door, so she screamed for her brother who came and kicked the door open. She began throwing cups of water on me and said I would suck in air every time she did. I know the exact type of breath she is talking about because I have saved a few lives of people who were overdosing. After a few minutes her brother grabbed me. I was obviously a blue purple color, and when they tried to move me it was like I was already in rigor. He said he walked me like a board to the bathroom, as stiff as a board. They began spraying me with the shower head and she was hitting my chest. According to her, I had probably been overdosed for twenty five minutes give or take a few. I did not even know what I experienced had been a near death event until a year or so after. I did not know other people have had this same type of thing occur, but now I realize what it was.

Hopefully to anyone reading this, our bodies are just vessels. I felt my consciousness shoot back into my body from somewhere else. I believe I was very close to being gone forever from this world, but fear or whatever it was sent me back towards my earthly vessel.
