Experience Description My earliest memory as a child was dreamlike. I used to believe it was a recurring dream, but after a revelation during a breathwork session and a profound emotional reaction watching a program about near-death experiences, the realization hit home. When I was born, I was operated on within the first twelve hours. I had malrotation of the intestine. This meant that food would not have been able to pass through the intestines, so I had to be operated on immediately after birth. I later found out that I had some struggles in the ambulance and during the surgery itself. I am unsure of what to call it, especially since I was so young when it happened. I call it a dream or memory. I was of falling from the sky. As I approached the ground, I did not stop. But rather, I fell through the ground and landed in an underground, cave-like place. There was a cloaked Being there. All I saw was the cloak and did not see the face. It reminded me of like the Grim Reaper but without the scythe. He told me that it was not my time yet. This experience was then repeated over and over. The insight I received during a breathwork session as an adult was that the Being was some sort of higher self who was protecting me. I had things that needed to be achieved in this lifetime. I still feel a little unsure about whether this was a near-death experience or not. My uncontrollable emotional reaction to hearing a similar thing described in a program on near-death experiences makes me feel as though it was one. However, there is a cognitive component that bothers me because how do you know for sure?
