Experience Description I don't know if the following description fits the most common NDEs, but after the experience I had confirmation about what I had lived through. Before the experience, which happened after I fell asleep on the night of January 14, 2026, I had been going through a few difficult months filled with injuries, anxiety, and panic attacks. I was six months away from graduating, and I had to secure an internship before January 2026. I had applied for countless internship openings, but I was always rejected. Of course, with the peer pressure I felt, I couldn't help believing I was the problem, since all of my classmates had landed internships at big companies while I had nothing. The internship was the key to my graduation. I had experienced depressive episodes and panic attacks before, but what I went through during the first two weeks of January, leading up to the 14th, was overwhelming. I felt numb. I couldn't leave my room, I could barely eat, and I didn't socialize with anyone during this period. I used to live alone, and my family lived in another city. During that time, I believed that being dead would definitely be better than waking up every day in the same hopeless situation. It got to the point where I had a suicide plan in case things went sideways. On the night of January 14, I went to sleep with the wish of not waking up. As soon as I closed my eyes, I opened them somewhere else entirely. I was lying on my back on concrete, crying nonstop and feeling enormous fear. I was in a big space that seemed to be one vast expanse. Everything was in a color that was a mix of lavender and grey. I can't say exactly what that color was. Grey clouds filled the sky. On my right, I felt the presence of someone or something. I knew deep down that the "person" holding my hand was me. It felt more advanced and higher than my current self, perhaps in terms of consciousness, but I knew it was me. This "me" entity kept holding my hand and comforting me, saying things in my native language like, "Don't worry. You'll be okay. You'll get what you want. You'll be okay." As I cried uncontrollably, I saw the sky above me open like a portal, its background composed of white light, and I saw an entity I recognized almost immediately. Growing up, God, or as we call it in Islam, Allah, was portrayed as a man in the scripture, the Quran, even if most people won't admit it and instead say Allah has no gender. In the scripture, Allah was always referred to as "he." In the scripture, there were often descriptions of this divine entity. Most were positive, such as being forgiving and merciful, but there were also negative traits, such as being judgmental, punitive, abusive, and cruel to some extent. I believed in these descriptions, and I believed that no matter how small or big the mistake I made, I would be punished and burned in hell. I was also very familiar with Jesus and who he was. As soon as I saw that entity, I immediately knew and said in my head, "That's the creator." This entity didn't appear to be either male or female. It was just the creator as it is. I knew it was not Allah, nor Jesus, nor any of the deities I knew of or had learned about. When the creator looked at me, I felt an immense sense of comfort, of being seen and heard. I knew I wasn't going to be punished or tortured. In my experience, no physical features were attributed to this entity. It appeared to have a head, two arms, and two legs, and its whole body was filled with stars and colors of the universe. It was as if this entity had the whole universe within it. The creator squatted down but remained in the open portal, and I felt a sense of familiarity and closeness to it. A moment later, the creator sent a beam containing all the stars and light of the universe directly into the space between my heart and my gut. As soon as this beam touched me, I felt more love than I had ever experienced in my life before that moment. I described this love to my therapist like this: take love as we experience it in this life and multiply it by 1,000. That love made me feel so warm and so safe. I closed my eyes there and opened them in my room, where I had a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. I closed my eyes again immediately, and I was shown three pairs of football scores for my team, which was playing three more games in the Afcon. As soon as I opened my eyes, I wrote down the scores. I believed that if the scores were right, they would validate everything I had experienced that night. And to no surprise, the results were correct. Since then, I have believed very deeply in what I experienced. This experience changed how I see the creator and religion entirely. It helped give me comfort and peace that I had lacked for the previous six years. Surprisingly, I haven't had any anxiety attacks or panic attacks since the experience, while before this happened I had one almost every week.
