Experience Description

I have been in a bad marriage and was severely depressed. I prayed every day for Jesus to take me. I was suicidal at one point and even asked someone to hire a person to shoot me while I was walking; without me knowing when or where. The request was rejected, as I knew it would be. But, I still hoped it might happen. I just wanted my life to end, although I knew it was wrong. I am Catholic and believe only Jesus can take my life. Yet, I still hoped to die.

I wanted life to be over and longed for eternal peace. I was writing a poem, which is something I enjoy doing. One morning, I was sitting in my bed writing a poem. Suddenly, I felt my soul leaving my body. I floated higher into the sky. I saw angels surrounding me; singing and playing flutes. Then, I found myself in a dark sky. I was kneeling on a huge rock before a towering figure in a bright, white dress. I knew it was Jesus.

I couldn’t look up at His face. Without speaking a word, I heard Him say, "It is not your time yet." Without touching me, His hand threw me backward into my body on the bed. I opened my eyes and was sad that I couldn’t stay with Him. My heart wasn’t beating, but I felt my soul in my body. My eyes were open, but I couldn’t move. Suddenly, I felt a hand pass deep into my chest, squeezing my heart three times until it started beating again.

I got out of bed, called my mom at work, and told her my story. For the next few days, I felt pain in my heart from the hand pressing on it to restart its beat.

I do not fear death, but I fear from dying in harmful way as my relatives and people back home are suffering, and that always scares me, however i wake up every day and say, He has a plan for me, and i go forward with my life, there is a reason for me to being back on earth and I day by day find out why because of the actions that i take daily, whether helping animals, birds, people or anything that needs my help. as soon as i opened my eyes shared it with my mom

my sister in law spoke about her mom's near death experience in a hopsital.

The feeling of peace, and the feeling of joy while I was floating higher and higher in the sky while the angels are surrounding me playing flutes was definitely real,
