Experience Description

My parents were taking us to a friend’s house for the 4th of July weekend. There were several other kids, but I was the only one who couldn’t swim. All of us jumped into the pool. Although the pool was only four feet deep, I went under the water.

I don’t remember going under. What I do remember is flying through a tunnel made of swirling blue and silver beams. I was moving toward a very bright, white light. Yet, I did not feel like I was moving. I went into the light.

The next thing I saw was a very large tree on a hill. The tree was surrounded by a valley with other hills and within walking distance. There were white houses with no features on them; they were standing in clusters of three on each hillside.

In the valley, between the hills and surrounding the hill with the tree, were flowers everywhere. Each flower was either purple, blue, yellow, or orange. A creek ran down one side with a small stone, walking bridge crossing it. Above the bridge was a permanent sunset, giving the air a golden hue and filling everything with a strange, warm, and loving feeling.

The next thing I knew, a group of kids and some young adults ran up to show me their spot under the tree. It had a campfire and a few stools. The walk up felt like it took a day. When we got there, a young woman with black hair was waiting for us. For no apparent reason, we all started laughing and goofing off. Everyone had big, joyful smiles. Then the woman led me to the edge of the hill, facing the sun, and had me sit down to watch. She said, "The best part is almost here."

But just as the sun looked like it might set, I heard and felt a booming, yet calming, voice surrounding me say, "It’s not time for you yet." And I closed my eyes.

When I opened my eyes again, I was being loaded into an ambulance and wracked with terrible pain. I couldn’t move, so I started crying. A shocked EMT shouted, "He’s alive!" One hour and forty-five minutes had passed since I went under the water.

Did you feel separated from your body? I clearly left my body and existed outside it

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? right as the booming voice came in
i felt like i had more reason and control over myself than before, like i knew all the answers to all my questions

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness? More consciousness and alertness than normal

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual
it felt like i had spent years playing with these other people. when i came back to earth i felt much older

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience some part of my vision were blurry or out of focus. others were VERY detailed

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience i couldnt hear the water or any animals/bugs. but i could hear the other 'people' and the air blowing by

it was lined with striped blue and silver but was transparent.

Did you see any beings in your experience? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased beings? No

Did you see or feel surrounded by a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes
it was white and yet i could stare at it with no issues.

Did you seem to enter another world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm
it looked like a valley with a few large hills and a tree but the sky made no sense

What emotions did you feel during the experience? pure happiness, and a love that i cannot describe in words

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

yes but i didnt have a need for it, as i had no problems

i found it very hard to remember anything from my life itself.

Did scenes from the future come? after this event i started dreaming of future events. i do not speak of it

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will
yeah the creek crossing, i wanted to explore it but the kids begged me to wait just a while longer

the meadow place was unexpected but the part where it was hard to remember earth was expected.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I heard a voice I could not identify
it was booming. or meaning it came from everywhere, even from inside of me. i did not feel fear of it

i have no idea who i saw were. they did not give names nor did i ask

once i felt the voice i knew exactly who it was

i seem to have some purpose but im still trying to figure what that might be. i can only sense that i do have one

others were speaking but i cant remember what was said

it exist in everyone and everything. when other people are fully connected with themselves you can feel it coming off of them

i felt much older than those around me after. it has made it very hard to relate with others my age

i cant connect with other people unless they also believe

i have dreams in my sleep that happen later in my life exactly as i dream them. furthest so far has been 10 years before

i told my mother only for her to say i was lying. now i dont talk about it

i heard another story of a little girl who passed briefly and it was way to close to mine to be ignored
