Experience Description I was born at the Apolinare Clinic in Prague, Czechoslovakia, in the 1990s. In my life, I have had two near death experiences. The first happened when I was born prematurely by C section. I spent several weeks in an incubator because I was too weak to breathe on my own. I weighed just over 170 grams and was about the size of a fist. The doctors fought to save my life, and somehow they succeeded. After returning to Poland from Prague, a doctor infected me with measles. Following the measles vaccine, I developed bilateral pneumonia and meningitis. I spent about a year under an oxygen tent so I could breathe. My tendons were cut to prevent me from walking on my toes. For a long time after the illness, I stuttered. That was the beginning of my childhood. I survived because of my parents’ determination and care. As I grew older, life became normal again. I finished school, attended high school, and eventually my daughter was born. Everything seemed fine. Much later, I experienced something that could only be described as a waking dream. Something violently pulled me out of bed by my leg and dragged me across the hallway toward the apartment’s front door. Then I suddenly woke up back in bed. I never saw what it was. I only felt it. In January 2026, I experienced my second near death experience after collapsing at a friend’s house. It was far more brutal than the first. According to my friends, I slid down a wall, fell to the floor, and began convulsing. From my perspective, what I experienced during the roughly ten minutes I was gone was both fascinating and terrifying. I entered what people often call a waiting room. As I arrived, I saw a female soul who appeared completely shocked to see me there. She stared upward as if looking at the sky, with her mouth hanging open in disbelief that I had somehow arrived in that place. Unfortunately, I cannot clearly remember her face because the experience was so intense. Something that had pulled me there stroked my head and would not allow me to leave. Fog surrounded everything. The people there could not speak. They did not remember themselves, and they did not know where they were. Time did not exist there in the way it exists on Earth. Only when you touched an object would a small light appear, allowing you to briefly see or remember something. There also seemed to be a narrator or guiding presence there. The feeling of its presence was extremely powerful. At the same time, I experienced two different realities. In my right eye, I saw my father calling to me, saying, “Maciek, get up, get up,” in the same house and in the same place where I had experienced the waking dream. In my left eye, I saw my friends at my buddy’s apartment trying to lift me, open the window, and help me. Then I felt an enormous force struggling against whatever was holding me there. The harder it breathed, the stronger and faster it became. In what felt like the final second, it tore me away from the other entity, almost as if I was never supposed to be there in the first place. After the experience, I felt as though I fell through the ceiling back into my body. When I returned, I experienced complete depersonalization. I could not speak. I did not recognize the place where I was or the friends around me. Immediately after returning, I vomited everything I had eaten at their apartment. My friend became frightened and called an ambulance. At the hospital, I was told that I had collapsed. I do not remember my first near death experience very clearly because I was so young, but I believe I may travel astrally. My second near death experience stripped away all my emotional filters. I no longer understand fear in the same way. I feel as though I can read people. I often know what someone is about to say or what they are afraid of. I sense when people are not telling the truth, and I often feel as though I am communicating directly with the subconscious mind.
