Experience Description

Once I was grabbed by my neck and thrown down, there was a "snap," and suddenly I was somewhere else. I think this was the moment I left my body because I did not feel anything or have any memory of what had just happened. I remember thinking, "Where am I? What happened?"

It felt like maybe 30 seconds passed, and then I began to see a white light in the distance. I very slowly began to float toward it, and I could see a tunnel starting to take shape. The white light seemed to be about half a mile away, and I was moving toward it very slowly.

Then I saw what looked like a hologram appear on the "wall" of the tunnel. There was not really a wall, but that is what it felt like to me. It looked like a movie being played on a projector screen, shaped like a rectangle and glowing with a bluish-white light.

I saw a scene from my childhood. It was me at about two years old, standing on my little step stool beside my grandmother, who raised me, and watching her wash the dishes. I would often do this as a child and sometimes play with the suds. I remember thinking, "Oh, there's me with my grandmother!"

Then, all of a sudden, I heard a voice urgently say, "He's killing you! Don't let him kill you! You're not supposed to die yet!"

At that moment, I remembered what had happened. I could feel my body again, and it felt like pins and needles from my head to my toes. I tried to move, but I couldn't. I tried to scream or breathe, but I couldn't.

The voice said, "Don't let him kill you! It's not your time yet!"

I fought with every bit of strength I had to move. It felt like I was trying to push a giant boulder or a car off of myself. It was like pushing against this massive weight that was holding me down.

Eventually, I felt myself shoot back into my body like a rocket. I don't know how else to explain it. Suddenly, I was back in my body, and the person who had been choking me got up off of me. I was coughing and shaking, and I began to sob uncontrollably. Thankfully, he left me there alone. I curled into a fetal position, held myself, and cried for a long time.

Because of this experience, I know for a fact that our soul can exist independently of our body. I was still ME during the time I was "floating" in that space, and I SAW the white light. I know it was real. It felt good, and I wanted to go there.
