Experience Description

On July 6, 2020, I was involved in an electrical flash accident. I suffered second- and third-degree burns over 24% of my body. I was life-flighted to the UMC Burn Unit in Lubbock, Texas.

On July 7 or 8, I experienced a lack of oxygen to my brain. I remember getting onto something like a chariot. It looked like the type of chariot from Roman times, but there were no horses. The chariot could fly.

It rose into the air and traveled over some huge sand dunes. Then it went out into space. When it landed, there were two gentlemen standing in front of me, about ten yards apart.

I looked at the gentleman on my right. As soon as I looked at him, I had an overwhelming feeling that this was God. I remember saying to myself, "Oh my God. I think that is God."

I walked over to him and asked, "Are you God?"

He said, "Yes, I am."

I told him that I was not ready to die.

In a cheerful voice, he asked, "Why not?"

I told him, "I have my wife, my kids, my grandkids, and I still have things to do on Earth."

He pointed toward the other gentleman and said, "You need to talk to my son."

I am a religious person. If he was telling me that he was God and pointing to the other gentleman as his son, then I knew that person was Jesus.

I walked over to Jesus and said, "I know you are Jesus. John 3:16 states that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Jesus said, "That is correct."

I told him, "I am not ready to die."

Jesus also asked me in a cheerful voice, "Why not?"

I said, "I have my wife, my kids, my grandkids, and I still have things to do on Earth."

Jesus looked at me and said, "Son, it is not your time. But when it is your time, this Kingdom shall be yours. You may go."

I got back onto the chariot, and it took off. It flew so fast that I thought I was going to pass out. Then, all of a sudden, I woke up back in my hospital bed.

I do not remember very much from the first twenty-something days I was in the hospital, but I clearly remember this experience. I told everyone who came into my room about how I had met God and Jesus.

One of my good friends later told me that I had told him about the experience on my second day in the hospital. He also told me that, about a week later, I said I wanted to talk to God and Jesus again.

I asked him why I had wanted to talk to them again.

He said that I had told him, "I cannot stand the pain anymore. I want to tell Jesus I am ready to die."

I spent 40 days in the Burn Unit. I do not remember much of my first twenty-something days there, but there are two things I remember as clearly as if they happened yesterday. The first is meeting God and Jesus. The second is the extreme amount of pain I experienced.

I tell my story to just about everyone I meet.

Thank you.

John K.
