Experience Description Next thing I remember is being pushed onto the floor. He sat on top of me and unleashed 5 shots straight to my face. I went in and out of consciousness, but after he cut my neck and things went fuzzy. Somehow we moved back into the living room, all while getting beat up, raped, screaming and arguing. I could swear we weren’t alone. There was someone in the corner of the room, just barely out of my line of sight. He was very calming. I remember thinking he helped me know what words to say to my ex to get him to cooperate. This was quite literally, my only shot at survival, and my chances were getting slimmer every second. I blacked out again. Then I woke up to my ex telling me to change and clean up because everything was soaked in blood. He took me to the hospital. They saved me and he is currently in prison. Background Information: Gender: Female Date of NDE: 04/12/2025NDE Elements: At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? YesMy now ex-husband, after he moved out when we separated, months later in the middle of the night came crashing through my front door. I was sleeping on the couch, but was on my feet in a blink when I heard that horrible crash. Eventually he got in the house, walking with a knife and a machete very much in my face. He pepper sprayed me, but thanks to adrenaline, or shock maybe, I don't know, but I wiped the grittiness off in time for him to get me down against the wall and smother me. Panic, acceptance, getting dizzy... he flinched, barely, but enough, I bit down as hard as I could on the skin of his finger. He jumped enough that I broke free enough to breathe, then he grabbed my hair, pushed me down on all fours, and slowly cut across my neck. I remember screaming, begging God to take me. Then things went black. How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant Did you feel separated from your body? Less consciousness and alertness than normal Were your thoughts speeded up? No Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaningI had absolutely no idea what time it was, I was held captive in my house for at least 12 hours where each of those hours I was convinced was going to be my last. No Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience I almost feel like everything was dulled in order to let me survive it. How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experienceI was in bad shape, really bad. At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? No Did the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience? Yes
