Experience Description Having general anesthesia in the past with no complications, the anesthesiologist gave me Percocet and then handed my case over to the CRNA. For unknown reasons at the time, the CRNA gave me Versed, fentanyl, and then Dilaudid in the wrong dosage, miscalculating my body weight in kilograms. I woke up much later after surgery. I found out later that they had to do resuscitation efforts, including Narcan and other measures to revive me. I spoke to the post-op nurse about it, and she became emotional. The anesthesiologist, whom I’d never met before, confirmed the overdose and apologized six months later. I had an experience during this time. I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin. I felt the presence of God, and also felt like I was a part of Him. I felt the presence of my brother and loved ones who had passed, but the conversations were nonverbal.
