Experience Description

I was in an ATV accident when I was 14. The ATV rolled over me, fracturing my skull. I was transported by Lifeflight helicopter to Pensacola, Florida, to Sacred Heart Hospital. I was placed in pediatric ICU. I had surgery to remove my skull so my brain could swell. I was in a coma for 3 months. This is when I experienced my time in heaven.

When I was in a coma, I was in a place that was filled with light as I looked around. There was a big, beautiful, slow-flowing river. There were kids playing and laughing. There were beautiful colors that I had never seen before. I looked and saw my granddaddy Morgan and my great-grandfather Morgan heading toward me. My granddaddy Morgan, who died when I was 5, came to me and gave me a big hug. I had never met my great-grandfather, but I knew him as if I had always known him. He had died 5 years before I was born. They both seemed to be young men with dark, thick hair. My granddaddy talked to me a bit and said he sure wished he could get a message to my grandmother to let her know how much he loves her. He also told me to spend as much time with her as I could.

We walked a bit as we talked, and then I became aware of Jesus Christ. He came and grabbed my left hand, and we walked up the river a bit. He turned to me, grabbed both my hands in His, hugged me, and asked me if I would do a small favor for Him. I told Him, "Of course." He said, "I need you to go back to earth and tell everyone you come in contact with about your visit with Me, and that I am real and I still live to this day and time, and I love them all very much and they are all My children. If you will do this for me, I promise one day to bring back your eyesight." I didn't know at the time that I was blind, because I could see so perfectly there. I told Him I would do that. I bear this testimony any chance I get.

Since I woke up from my coma, I had to relearn a lot. I was left blind and hemiplegic on my left side. I walk with a cane. I graduated from high school and live life to the fullest. And I love the Lord and I always will.

Love was all around me. A feeling of great love. It was everywhere, especially when Jesus Christ hugged me.
