Experience Description

Nearly 45 years ago, I met God. My son had died and I couldn’t cope. I didn’t die, but I was not asleep. I lay down in bed and left my body, quickly coming to a place of brilliant, warm, white light that did not hurt my eyes. I felt as if I had gone home. I belonged. I saw God. His love was unconditional. He was in the middle of this space, though it wasn’t really a room. He was giant-sized, wearing a white and blue robe. Without words, he told me he loved me and everything was as it should be. His face was blurred. He said I had more to do on Earth. I absolutely did not want to leave, but he sent me back anyway.

I remember how heavy my body felt when I returned to it. My legs and arms seemed to weigh a ton. The images and emotions of this experience have remained crystal clear for decades. I longed to return to heaven for weeks afterwards.

I’m 70 now, and I still remember. One day, not too far off, I will return. I wasn’t religious when this happened, but I am now. God loves me!

Everything was clearer, more real.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning
No sense of time. It was not needed.

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience My son had died. I couldn’t go on. I was extremely depressed. God took me home, for a while. He reassured me that all was as it should be and 5hat he loved me.

It was a real quick trip both coming and going. When I came back, my body was very heavy.

Did you see any beings in your experience? No

Did you see or feel surrounded by a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes
Brilliant white light. It did not hurt my eyes though.

Did you seem to enter another world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm
I was in a large room without walls. Many others were there. It wasn’t a room so much as a space with walls and ceiling that weren’t truly there. It’s hard to explain.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Acceptance. Belonging. Love. I went home!

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

God is real. Heaven is real. I belong and I am loved by God HIMSELF.

God is our creator. He did it all!

God stood in the middle, much larger than life. Love and energy emanated from his presence.

It was very real and I wanted to go back. I didn’t want to leave heave. God said that I had more to accomplish.

I’m old now. I’m waiting. I feel my grandfather and mother with me at times.
