Experience Description

I was four years old and playing in my room. I had a sudden and urgent need to lie down and take a nap. I went to my bed and laid down on my back.

I stood back up, feeling very peaceful and rested. I remember noticing that outside my window the day was so beautiful. I walked out of my room. When I got to the top of the stairs, I could see all the light that came into the living room through the skylights. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, even to this day. The light looked like diamond dust smoothly falling downward. I heard a man’s voice talking to me in my right ear. He told me that I had chosen this life, that I would feel a lot of pain, but that I must not give up. I did not understand what he was talking about at that time. Now, I know that he meant not to kill myself. I answered that I was perfectly fine so far, and that it was a funny choice to make, given all the pain.

He added that I had liked the mission of this life, and that I would also give and receive a lot of love. I could feel on my left side like there was a crowd of people, or presences, in the distance. I did not look at them as I was still looking at the light. The voice told me I could fly in the light if I wanted to. Next, I remember flying in the high ceiling of the living room. I felt so blessed. I went into the kitchen where my mother was. I went to her from above and tried to tell her that she had never told me we could fly. But, I could not communicate with her. Then, instantly, I felt a deep fear and pain at not being able to talk to her. So, I came straight back into my body with a gasp.

It was at that moment, that I realized I had been out of my body. I got out of bed and ran back downstairs to make sure I could still talk with my mother. I found her in the same place in the kitchen, cooking a meal just like she was a moment ago. Even though it was a beautiful feeling and experience, I was still very relieved to be able to talk to her.

I was crying and tried to tell her that I had been above her flying just a moment ago. I told her that she could not hear me. She told me that I had just had a bad dream. I know it was not a dream. It was real, and I remember feeling like everything made sense. I have heard that same voice a couple of times in my life, giving advice. It is a wise, calm, and warm masculine voice. Thank you.
