Experience Description

I was in my truck when an upset person threw a glass bottle at me. I immediately felt hot and could feel blood running down my face. I drove myself to the hospital and walked in asking for help. The lady at the front desk was shocked and immediately got me a wheelchair and a doctor. They rushed me to the back, put a bandage on my head, and gave me blood thinners to try and slow the bleeding, but it didn’t work. The doctor said he would have to perform emergency surgery. All I remember is him removing the bandage and sticking his finger in my head. I yelled in pain, then everything went dark.

I remember being in an empty train station. Behind the train was an open field filled with beautiful flowers. A man in a tuxedo approached me and asked, 'Are you ready?' I said, 'No, I’m not. I want to see my daughters one more time.' I said that a few times.

Then I could feel my energy traveling through the lights in the room. After that, I woke up. The nurse and doctor both said they were surprised I was able to survive.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Both pleasant AND distressing

Did you feel separated from your body? I clearly left my body and existed outside it
I could hear the nurse talking to me.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? When I was at the train station
I didn't feel any pain, and I felt like I knew at that moment that there was something else for me.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness? More consciousness and alertness than normal

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual
Time didn't seem to exist.

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

The light was so bright that I traveled through it to get back to my body.

Did you seem to enter another world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm
It was nothing like this world. Everything looked so beautiful and peaceful, all pure nature.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt sad.

The world we live in is just part of a cycle, and this is not the end. There is something else for us when we leave this world.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a definite conscious decision to return to life
When I told him I wanted to see my daughters one last time, he let me return to my body.

That we are all one with the world, and we are all electricity and light beings.

I feel that by saying I wanted to see my family, I am here for them.
