Experience Description

Outside it was raining hard.

We were at a restaurant. While eating inside, I choked and stopped breathing. My husband, who is a doctor, began performing the Heimlich maneuver on me.

I was wearing a red jacket that reached my hips, blue jeans, and red sneakers. My body felt very light and I was suspended in the air. My feet were weightless. My right leg was slightly higher than the left leg. My arms extended just below my shoulders.

My face was turned toward another face that looked like mine but decades younger. The face had deep, penetrating, and illuminated eyes. I noticed here looking at me with a peaceful and attentive gaze, silently urging me to look at her or stay with her. Her radiant eyes met mine directly. The younger face was serene, softly smiling while exuding peace, joy, and calmness. In this state, I simply waited, filled with profound peace and no anxiety.

I felt frozen, unable to move. I could hear my husband calling for an ambulance and asking if I could speak, but I couldn’t.

Finally, I began to breathe slowly and could barely speak. When I returned, I was overwhelmed by an immense sense of peace, calmness, and joy.

The face in the distance but in front of me was illuminated, it was like a bright, broad spectrum white light came out of her eyes/face

I am a catholic person and I am used to pray on an ongoing basis which gives a sense of peace to my life. But the peace I felt in the experience was above this, it was like a peace feeling that can't be destroyed/spoiled by anyone/anything

I feel love and compassion to everyone that surrounds me. To those that made me feel unease or upset before the experience, I feel them closer to my heart now and the negative feelings went away.

I find myself with much more tolerance and closer (and willing to love) to few people that made me feel unease before the experience

With my husband that was the person with me at the time of the experience. In spite of being a doctor and a person of science, he was gladly surprise with my experience. It is too soon to see how this influenced him
