Experience Description Here is the same account with paragraph breaks added and light grammar/spelling corrections. I kept the meaning and sequence intact and avoided changing the experiencer's interpretation. My cesarean section operation began in the operating room. I had regional anesthesia. When they started making the incision in my abdomen, I became afraid. I told them I did not want to feel anything, so the doctor asked the anesthesiologist to increase the dose of anesthetic until it became complete. I felt the anesthetic dose go into the IV line in my hand, even though the first anesthetic was regional. Usually, in the operating room, a person feels that they sleep and wake up in seconds, but I did not feel that this time, even though it was not my first operation. Instead, I felt that I was on the bed, ascending quickly in an elevator. I heard voices but could not see anything. Everything was white. I heard someone say to me, "You were playing a role, and it is over. Enough, your role here is over." A feeling began as if the things I loved in my life were being taken from me. Four things that were the most important in my life were shown to me: my family, my job, my husband, and my children. They were saying, "It is all over. You have moved on from this." I was in a state of sadness and astonishment. Then I felt that my body was completely out of my control, and it was rising upward. Everything I had previously known about death repeated in my mind: What is the meaning of body and soul? I began to remember the meaning of soul and body, and that they are one thing, and that whatever happens to the soul, whether bliss or torment, happens to the body. I kept saying, "The soul and body are one thing," out loud, while events and sounds sped up. The higher I went, the more I felt these four things begin to leave my heart. I had no feeling toward them, and they truly disappeared with a completely different feeling. Nothing connected me to them anymore. I kept repeating, "Nothing is real except God. Nothing is real except God," with complete certainty and conviction. Then suddenly, I stopped ascending or descending. All sounds around me quieted except my voice as I said, "Ah, nothing is real except God." I was in a state of complete surrender. In this feeling, or at this stage, I felt that I was in a very comfortable world, that I was a good person, that all my sins had been forgiven, that I did not have very great faults, and that God is more merciful than anything. I was completely accepting of whatever would come next. Everything stopped, and I was in complete surrender. I heard a male voice say, "Will you return or not?" I was in surrender and understood that they were angels waiting for God's command: Would I return to earth or not? I did not hear any reply, but I began to descend on this bed at the same speed with which I had ascended upward. I kept descending and descending at the same speed, the same speed. Then I felt intense joy in my heart that I would return to the world. The thought began repeating in my head that my young children still needed me and my mission in life was not over. My happiness and joy increased. Then I began to take a very deep breath, as if in a moment of resuscitation. I took a strong breath, my chest rose completely, then it calmed down and my breathing returned. I kept descending on this bed while repeating, "Oh Lord, Your pleasure and Your mercy. Oh Lord, Your pleasure and Your mercy," until I woke up. I could hear the doctor saying, "Thank God for your safety. Come on, wake up." I was saying, "Oh Lord, Your pleasure and Your mercy." It ended, and I woke up from the operation. Background Information: Gender: Female Date of NDE: 07/03/2022NDE Elements: At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? UncertainI was having a cesarean section and the anesthesia dose was increased. I do not know whether my heart was resuscitated or not, but I felt it during the experience. How do you consider the content of your experience? Neither pleasant NOR distressing Did you feel separated from your body? No How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? Throughout the experience, I was fully aware of events and very clear-headed. Even when I woke up, I said, 'This is not a dream; impossible, this is something real.'The feeling of events defies description, especially when my attachment to these four matters that were shown to me was removed. At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness? More consciousness and alertness than normal Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaningAt the beginning, events were fast, and it was difficult to grasp the transition from attachment to my life to having every feeling toward it torn from my heart. Then I was in a state of complete surrender, and time had no value at that moment. Were your senses more vivid than usual? More vivid than usual Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience Visually (sense of sight): During the experience, my vision was completely different and stronger than everyday vision; the narrow room's boundaries disappeared and were replaced by an expansive view of pure, brilliant whiteness and a light that was supremely comfortable to the eye, unlike any white in ordinary everyday colors. In terms of consciousness and perception (insight): I transitioned from a state of drowsiness and anesthesia to a state of 'acute hyper-awareness' in which I felt I had never slept at all. My thinking and formulation of ideas were thousands of times faster and deeper than my everyday consciousness. I realized the truth of the separation of the soul from the body, and I became completely detached from emotional attachments to the four most important things in my life (family, job, husband, and children). I reached a peak of spiritual certainty I had never experienced in my daily life, repeating, 'Nothing is real except God.' Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience Hearing was strong, and most of the experience was like internal thoughts as very clear voices, whether about death, the most important things in my life, or the question of returning to the world. Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere? No Did you pass into or through a tunnel? YesMeaning ascending upward in one direction within a limited space, as I looked up and a strong white light was before me. Did you see any beings in your experience? No Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased beings? No Did you see or feel surrounded by a brilliant light? An unusually bright light Did you see an unearthly light? YesA very strong white light that I saw in front of me. Did you seem to enter another world? Some unfamiliar and strange placeBecause of my religious knowledge, I was aware that I was in the stage of transition to the other world, and that my upward ascent was the soul's ascent to the sky after leaving the body, and this was repeated in my mind during the experience (what happens to the soul is felt by the body). What emotions did you feel during the experience? At first fear, then the departure of feelings of attachment and connection to the four matters, and how they left my heart. Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness Did you have a feeling of joy? No Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? No Did you suddenly understand everything? Everything about myself or othersI understood who I am more, what the most important thing in my life is, that I had committed minor mistakes, and that they were fully forgiven and I was forgiven for them. I also realized I had been blaming and reproaching myself too much, and the truth is that I am pure-hearted. Did scenes from your past come back? I remembered many past eventsI remembered the most important matters of my life, and in truth, I had not been focusing on how specific and important they were until after the experience. Did scenes from the future come? During the experience itself (inside the anesthesia coma): No, I was not shown specific visual scenes of future events at that moment, but a sharp awareness of the future became clear: that my mission in life and my role with my children and people is not over, and that I must return to complete it. Connection to future visions: I possess the gift of 'truthful dreams' during sleep, and the ability to foresee future events (such as death, marriage, and plots) since childhood, years before this experience. However, the impact of the near-death experience on my reality is that these future visions have increased in frequency, sharpness, and clarity. Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? YesYes, when the ascent stopped, I knew that this was the final boundary, and I was in a state of complete surrender and acceptance of whatever would happen to me. After that, I heard the angels asking permission from God whether I would return or not return to the world. Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a definite conscious decision to return to lifeThe choice to return was not mine; I was completely surrendered and accepting of what would happen. At the time, I had no feeling toward the world; it had all been removed from my heart, so I was satisfied whether I returned or left.God, Spiritual and Religion: What was your religion prior to your experience? MuslimIn my religion, we believe in the existence of another life after death, and that God is more merciful and kind to us, and that everything that happens after death is felt by the soul and the body. In this experience, the truth of all that became apparent. Have your religious practices changed? No What is your religion now? MuslimMy certainty increased in all matters and truths mentioned in my Islamic religion regarding everything concerning death and the transition to the other life. Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experienceThe content of my experience was completely consistent, to the highest degree, with my Islamic faith beliefs in monotheism and certainty in God. When I ascended upward and was stripped of the four pillars of the world (family, job, husband, and children), I felt no panic or emptiness; rather, I was overwhelmed by a sweeping peace, complete forgiveness, and sweet surrender. My tongue and heart moved with full certainty and monotheism, repeating, 'Nothing is real except God,' which aligns perfectly with my firm belief that God is the abiding truth and everything on it will perish. The dialogue of the angels, the feeling of mercy and forgiveness, seeing the absolute pure whiteness, and the decision to return to complete the trust of raising young children and to search for my future role and mission with people — all these details came as a great and direct confirmation and validation of everything I had believed with certainty before undertaking this experience. Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? YesYes, the experience brought about a radical and blessed transformation in my values, beliefs, and approach to life. It can be summarized as follows: Value shift regarding materialism: The value of material things and worldly appearances fell away completely after I saw my four pillars of life vanish during my ascent, and my values became deeply rooted in the idea that this world is a 'temporary role' not worth anxiety. This freed me from worries and trivial competitions, and paradoxically, this spiritual austerity opened doors to rapid financial abundance, wealth, and stability. Doctrinal grounding and certainty of meeting: My religious beliefs became firmly rooted in pure monotheism, and my faith in the existence of God and the afterlife transformed from intellectual belief to spiritual certainty and witnessing. This is the certainty I lived while repeating, 'Nothing is real except God,' and with it my fear of death disappeared, replaced by overwhelming inner peace and confident longing to meet God and the mercy and forgiveness I felt in that dimension. Concept of responsibility and upbringing: My parenting values changed. While before the experience I was driven by a natural fear for my children, after my return I began to move with the value of 'responsibility, awareness, and independence.' I focused on training them to rely on themselves and to build their awareness for the future after me. Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I heard a voice I could not identifyA masculine voice (but I understood they were angels, and there were two asking whether to return or not, meaning whether permission would be granted for me to return to life, as if they were awaiting God's reply). Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? No During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? UncertainNo, I did not encounter specific information or conscious recollection regarding my existence before this earthly life. My experience's focus and the heightened awareness I lived were entirely directed toward the future and the transition to the other dimension; I experienced the acute realization of the current soul's separation from the body, the stripping of attachment to the earthly past (family, job, husband, and children), and absolute certainty in the eternal continuous truth, which is God Almighty, without turning to or remembering any details regarding the stage before my birth into this world. During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? YesYes, I encountered absolute awareness and certainty of unity and connection with the true, singular source of existence. This became clear to me when I ascended upward, and all temporary worldly attachments and manifestations (family, job, husband, and children) faded and were stripped from my heart, leaving no fragmentation in my being or soul. At that moment, my soul connected directly with the absolute and eternal truth that moves the entire universe, and my soul settled into complete surrender and sweet rest, declaring the perfect unity behind this existence with my saying, 'Nothing is real except God.' I experienced the concept of pure oneness, where there is no remaining truth or lasting real existence except for the Creator, glory be to Him. During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? YesDuring my phrase repeated on my tongue ('Nothing is real except God') I was repeating it happily, believing in it and that it is indeed true. After the experience, I became certain that everything I knew in my religion about the afterlife is correct, according to the authentic sayings of the great Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.Concerning our Earthly lives other than Religion: During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? YesYes, I experienced a sense of special knowledge and complete certainty about the purpose of life. During the experience, upon hearing the dialogue of choice, the veil of the world was lifted, and special knowledge was revealed that earthly life in all its details is merely a temporary role, and there is no lasting and absolute truth except God Almighty. With the decision to return, my heart filled with great joy and complete certainty about an upcoming purpose and mission. I realized the special knowledge that my young children still need me, my life's mission is not over, and that I have an important and specific role with people and society that I must return to seek and fulfill. During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? YesYes, I experienced this awareness clearly. I realized first that the world is merely a temporary role and that nothing remains true except God, after I was completely stripped of the four most important matters in my life (family, job, husband, and children). Secondly, at the decision to return, my mission and purpose in life became clear. Besides my children being young and needing me, I was certain that my mission in life was not yet over, and that I have an important role with people and society that I will complete or seek to fulfill my true purpose in life. During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? YesYes, I encountered absolute awareness and certainty of the continuation of life after death. I experienced the complete separation of the soul from the body during the upward ascent, and I saw that the soul remains very alert and conscious even after the material senses of the body ceased. I also experienced a real feeling of moving to another very comfortable dimension filled with peace, divine mercy, and forgiveness. I realized that earthly life and all material attachments are merely a temporary role that ends, while the continuous and eternal reality is God Almighty and the spirit world. Did you gain information about how to live our lives? YesYes, I encountered superior and specific awareness about human existence that was not mentioned in previous questions, and it can be summarized in two points: The truth of soul and body: During my ascent, when my control over my body completely stopped, a very acute and deep understanding of the meaning of soul and body as separate entities became clear. I realized that whatever befalls the soul, whether bliss or torment, necessarily befalls the body, and that the soul is the true conscious self of the human, while the body is merely a material shell. Life as a temporary acting role: I heard clear voices during my ascent telling me plainly, 'You were playing a role, and it's over, enough.' This awareness made me deeply realize that all our conflicts, fears, and relationships in earthly life are merely 'temporary roles' written for us to perform, and that the only truthful and lasting reality behind this veil is God Almighty. During your experience, did you gain information about life's difficulties, challenges and hardships? YesYes, I encountered awareness that changed my view of challenges. When I was stripped during the ascent of the most important four matters in my life (family, job, husband, and children), and I felt the forgiveness of my sins and absolute divine mercy, I realized that all difficulties and fears of earthly life are not real and are much smaller than we imagine, and that the world is merely a temporary role that ends. This made me return to reality and face my responsibilities and challenges with complete peace, without anxiety or worry. During your experience, did you gain information about love? YesYes, I experienced deep awareness of the concept of true love. When I ascended upward and was stripped of the usual human attachment to my most precious possessions (family, husband, children, and job), I did not feel emptiness; instead, a tremendous feeling of tranquility, absolute peace, and forgiveness overwhelmed me. I realized that the highest and noblest rank of love is God's mercy and His extreme gentleness to His servants, a love that I described as God being 'more merciful than anything.' This awareness made me return to the world loving my family and children and fulfilling my role with people with a pure and clear feeling, stemming from peace and responsibility, not fear or unhealthy attachment. What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my lifeYes, the experience brought about radical, positive, and accelerated transformations in my life after four years. They can be summarized as follows: Annual leaps and blessed acceleration: After the experience, I feel that every year that passes is equivalent to a leap of three years compared to before. I live a rapid and stable rise in all aspects of my life, whether in positions, good fortune, money, stability, or the maturity of family relationships with my husband, children, and relatives. Dissolution of fear and spiritual ease: The fear of death decreased greatly, replaced by inner peace and certainty of meeting God. My prayer to Him became stronger and built on tranquility. Conscious upbringing for the future: My approach to my children became more mature. I focused on preparing them to depend on themselves and build their independent awareness after me, and indeed they now possess maturity far beyond their peers. Awareness in relationships (superior forgiveness): I became more perceptive in my relationships. Even when visions reveal the plots of enemies by name, I smile, leave their matter to God, and go on peacefully without anger. Reconciliation with self and body: I succeeded in resolving my psychological and life problems with the help of specialized doctors until I reached excellent mental and physical health, and I began to care for my body, love it, and appreciate it, after having completely lost these feelings before the experience. Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? YesMy relationship with my children became more mature, focusing on preparing them for life rather than just providing protection and care. My relationship with myself improved with increased self-confidence and love for my body. My relationship with my family became less overly attached. My relationship with my husband improved, and the fear of losing him or any problems between us vanished. My relationship with people changed, as I focused on clearing my surroundings of anyone causing delay in my life and sought relationships that are more mature, evolving, and giving love unconditionally; I began looking for pure and clear hearts. Above all, my relationship with God became stronger, knowing that He is with me at every moment, aware of what is in my soul, and I have surrender and optimism that all coming decrees are good, happiness, and sustenance. After the NDE: Was the experience difficult to express in words? YesI kept it to myself for four days after the operation, then after ten days I told my husband while crying from the enormity of what happened. After six months, I learned that it was real and that there are similar experiences in the world. How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experienceMy memories of this experience are exceptionally clear and steadily certain, unaffected by the passage of time. I remember its finest details, the sounds, the breaths, and the deep emotions I experienced during the anesthesia coma, with far greater precision than my memory of routine daily events that occurred during the same period around the operation. Other ordinary life events may be forgotten or become less clear over the years, but this experience has been imprinted on my heart and soul as a living, continuing truth, as if it happened only yesterday. The sharpness of memory and absolute certainty that accompanied the rapid ascent, the detachment of emotions from my four pillars of life, the repetition of the phrase 'Nothing is real except God,' and the powerful moment of resuscitation make this experience the clearest and most steadfast event in my memory throughout my life. Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? YesYes, but it is an ability and gift that I already had, and its intensity increased extraordinarily after the experience. I have had the gift of 'truthful righteous visions' and high spiritual clarity since childhood, years before this experience. I would see future events that would come true (such as death, marriage, and plots). However, after the near-death experience, there was an extraordinary increase in the accuracy, frequency, and clarity of this gift. I began to see my enemies by name and what they do in visions before they are exposed in reality by days or years, and I see what will happen to my family before it occurs. Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? All of it is of strong and special importance to me. Have you ever shared this experience with others? YesThe first time was four days after the experience, with some of my sisters, and they were all in a state of shock, wondering if this was a dream or reality. Ten days later, I shared it with my husband, who was shocked and puzzled by these words. Years later, I began mentioning it to some friends after I understood that it truly counts as an experience of those returning from death. They were also shocked by these events and how much they matched all our religious beliefs, as I only told these people, all of whom followed Islam. It reinforced their faith and strong belief in all religious beliefs related to death, the soul, the body, God, and the afterlife. Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely realA few days after the experience, I was absolutely certain that it was an absolute truth and impossible for it to be merely a dream. It never resembled dreams in its clarity, depth, and inner and psychological impact. However, I experienced great confusion about how to prove that to myself and those around me, especially since I did not know of the existence of something called a 'near-death experience' until six months after the incident, and the credit for that goes to my continuous and passionate research to interpret what I went through. My firm certainty that I lived a truth unknown to most people, and my ongoing desire, even years later, to prove it and present it to those who study and research it, is what led me and overcame the language barrier to translate this questionnaire, wishing to convey this miracle and the scientific and spiritual addition to the world. What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely realCurrently, I see the reality of my experience with absolute and steadfast certainty that deepens with the passing of days; the reason is the continuous practical proofs in my daily reality. The permanent shift toward good mental and physical health, my ability to face crises with complete inner peace and without anxiety, along with the accelerating blessing and extraordinary annual leaps in my sustenance and relationships, and the unique continuity of the accuracy of revealing future visions — all these are living proofs that leave no room for doubt and confirm to me every day that what I experienced was a complete reality that changed the course of my life entirely. At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? YesYes, the emotions and awe of the experience have been reproduced in my life through several situations: Awe of beginnings and spiritual renewal: In the early periods after the experience, I would cry in the darkness of the night, sensing the enormity of what I went through, realizing that my return was a chance to reform my life. I also woke up with the feeling that I had been reborn, completely pure from past mistakes. The exceptional bond with the baby girl: My daughter born with the experience carries a unique bond. When I hold her, I feel profound peace and comfort, as if we were born together on the same day; her embrace is entirely different from that of her other sisters. Natural motherhood fears: I developed a fear and awe of repeating the pregnancy experience in the future, as a defense mechanism stemming from my intense desire to remain for the sake of my children and not leave them young. Did the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience? YesYes, I described it as it was, in full detail and accurately as it happened. Anything else to add? I wish it could be made into a short film with all its details in my own style, with high-precision production and organization, and appropriate sounds for each event, so that its message reaches people with the truth of what happened and the truth of this life, and that we will inevitably move on, and that we are all playing roles that will end.
