Experience Description

I had become very disappointed after failing in my first love. This happened at the same time, my exams were going on. I performing poorly in those exams due to this disappointment, which increased my despair even more. I had no faith; to put it simply, I did not believe in the Hereafter. I was a Muslim back then. Due to this hopelessness, I attempted suicide by hanging myself with a rope.

After a while, I stopped feeling any pain. Then it felt like I could no longer understand anything. I was moving towards a darkness. My entire life was flashing before my eyes. Suddenly, I realized someone was calling me. After hearing the call, I felt as if someone was pulling me away from that dark cave or spherical object and bringing me towards a light. Then, suddenly, I opened my eyes.

After opening them, I saw that I was lying on the ground; the rope had snapped from above, and I had fallen. Blood was flowing continuously from my chin and head. Later, I realized I was in that senseless state for about 10 to 15 minutes. The person who had been calling me and knocking on the door had been doing so for about two to three minutes.

When I regained full consciousness, I felt very weak and struggled to lift myself up. With great difficulty, I got up to open the door. Then, I lay down again, although I did not lose consciousness. I will never forget this experience until the moment I die. I will never be able to describe it in any language.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes
It was as if I was seeing every event in my entire life in one moment and there was one person I still remember, a childhood memory with him, and all the other people I saw. My teeth were chattering when I was unconscious.Suddenly I realize that I am being pulled from somewhere into the light, out of a dark place. After walking like this for a while, my breath suddenly comes in.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Both pleasant AND distressing

Did you feel separated from your body? I lost awareness of my body
I just noticed something was happening to me that hadn't happened before. I could feel that someone was telling me something, like they were saying something. But not in words, but in my heart.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? About ten minutes after the incident
My consciousness and alertness during the experience at that time was more like I was surprised or felt something I had never felt before.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness? Less consciousness and alertness than normal

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual
Time seemed to go by so quickly.

Were your senses more vivid than usual? Incredibly more vivid

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience It was completely different, like a light that brought everything in my life together. My life became like a picture, like a 3D picture.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience I was listening to something I had never heard before, but when I had this experience, there was some music playing on my phone next to me, but I wasn't listening to that music, I was listening to something else that sounded like the sound of a musical instrument. Just one.

Did you see or feel surrounded by a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

The web seemed to be illuminated all around Bitta and inside the circle, at one point, a little light appeared like this

Did you seem to enter another world? Some unfamiliar and strange place
I was feeling like I was in a place where time had passed so quickly, with so many familiar faces and unfamiliar ones, that I couldn't even begin to understand what it was like.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I was feeling a lot of peace and a lot of silence.

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Relief or calmness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Incredible joy

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt no longer in conflict with nature

What was your religion prior to your experience? Other or several faiths
I am a child of a Muslim family. However, my faith was very weak. For example, I did not believe in the afterlife. In other words, I was a follower of Islam, but I did not have a practicing faith in Islam.

Have your religious practices changed? No

What is your religion now? Muslim
āra ki. After returning from there, I spent a lot of time in despair and kept searching for why I had returned from that place alive and my perception changed that day, that someone was saving me. What else could a light be like?However, then I traveled to an Islamic movement called Tablighi Jamaat and believed in the afterlife, in Allah, and in the prophets, and now I understand why I was alive that day.

I felt like I was inside a circle that was shrouded in darkness and an object that seemed to be trying to illuminate the darkness around me, something that seemed impossible to express in words.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? It was so surprising to me that I was meeting so many people, both familiar and unfamiliar.

This is true because I think I'm experiencing every second of those times.
