Experience Description

Earlier this month I was traveling on the interstate I-70 near Frederick, MD on my way to Richmond, VA and was carrying a lot of stuff in my car as I was moving at the time. It was late at night and I had made the decision that I wasn't far away from home and to just continue the drive. I was traveling at about 70mph, the posted speed limit and came upon a construction zone very quickly. I could see the entire road in front of me go dark and there were no lights other than the construction zone to my right. I could not quite clear the zone and slammed head on into a piece of construction equipment and the concrete barrier. My car instantly went airborne and rolled over many times (I counted at least three), very violently and at a high rate of speed. Eventually I landed in a ditch and I was screaming and shouting and thought I had died. All I could hear was the sound of my own voice. I could see the workers standing there and one of them reached in on the passengers side and held up my head and they were telling me to calm down while paramedics were arriving. They pulled me out of the car and while I was traveling in the ambulance I did not feel any turns, it was a straight shot to the trauma center. I couldn't believe I was still completely conscious. While in the ambulance I could hear a woman respond to the paramedics over the phone and she sounded exactly like an old friend and roommate of mine who had married my ex-husband and I. I was given many tests and CT scans at the hospital.

While lying on a bed, I heard others around me but I felt myself filling up with my own water, is the best way to describe it. I met a different version of my old friend, with the same voice I had heard earlier and she seemed annoyed with me. I heard someone near me say something about just getting up and walking. I thought to myself, I cannot believe that I do not feel much pain. The only pain I felt was at the back of my head and this went away. I sat up with a neck brace on and my neck didn't hurt. After checking me out the trauma team released me with no injuries. The taxi driver told me after he saw me and heard what happened he knew I needed help. I didn't understand how he knew. He and his car seemed to be from a different era, yet operating in this time. That was not the only instance of this phenomenon I noticed. When I left, he told me I was part of the 'world family' and that he was honored to help. Later when I had access to get things from out of my vehicle, I couldn't believe it when I saw the damage. The front of the vehicle was practically molded into a tube from all of the violent rolling. Both doors had been removed and the entire wheel and axle (had be sheared completely off) were sitting on the drivers seat. The front windshield was cracked to such a tiny degree that it looked like a mosaic. Stink bugs were all over my things. Keys were torn out of one of my keyboards. My sound bar was bent, the subwoofer gashed. Those were just some items in the trunk. All of this yet I was fine, with only a few bruises. Everyone told me it was a miracle and they'd never seen anything like it. I was in a parking lot a few miles from the location of the accident and a man says to me 'we're going to save your life today'. I didn't even have the words to say anything back. A hair band was laying on the floor in a perfect trefoil shape another day I woke up. Other things I noticed like this were common. I am still adjusting to my new reality. I realize I have been given the chance to live for a reason. I know I want to help others.

I started to realize that everything was an aspect of me and that we are all like this. Some additional details of my experience were that items had materialized within my belongings that I had not brought on the trip such as papers that were not mine, jewelry that I would best describe as having 'put itself together' such as an old pendant that I had lost was on a cord from material I didn't pack. Items and souvenirs in a bag from a trip I had lost. Some items later appeared by themselves in the same bag that I reported to the towing company that I searched earlier that were no where to be found. Time seemed to be in 'sub-periods' of time in itself. A picture on a wall in a hotel that was blurry the night before and later re-materialized as a scene in an album I had seen. A saleswoman described a small cross that had broken off of a necklace I had worn during the crash that I held in my closed hands even before I ever saw her or went into the store. I bought bread in a store from a woman that told me it must be good because it actually didn't exist. Another strange occurrence with time was when I was stopped at a stoplight while I was dropping my roommate off at work. I saw the light turn green and started the car forward. A second later my friend says, hey don't go yet the right is red. The previous day I was attempting to get a rental car and I had to phone the rental service. They were surprised that I had already picked up the rental as they registered that no time had passed between the request and the rental.

Also I had an experience two days before the NDE where I sent a text to the letters 'Jesus' that I was confused at the events that were happening to me and the response back some time later that 'circumstances can be uncertain when you not able to see clearly'. I attended the Veneration of the Cross service that Sunday at my church in Minneapolis. The church service could be best described as otherworldly. The church itself seemed too look different than what I was used to and objects looked as if they were made in heaven. The lighting was luminous, unlike any light I had seen on earth. I heard voices and singing which I could not see the participants actually singing. There was one voice in particular which was markedly higher than the other voices. It sounded like it could be an angel? After the service, I walked up to receive bread from the father. He handed me a small wooden Jerusalem cross which smelled like it was just smoked. That same small cross broke off of my neck and the bottom portion was found in the wreckage of the vehicle. I had been in Minneapolis briefly and was to speak with the Father about conversion on that day. After the text from Jesus I immediately had the thought I needed to have my eyes checked as I had not done so in over twenty years. The eye doctor stated that I had super human vision of 10/20. It was that I only needed eye drops to clear the blurriness. It was three days later that the accident occurred in Mt Airy, MD.

Background Information:

Gender: Female

Date NDE Occurred: 10/2/2017

NDE Elements:

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Accident Life threatening event, but not clinical death My car was traveling at 70mph on an interstate when I saw the road in front of me turn black. I had seen construction signs before the accident and the only area to escape this was the construction zone to my right. I did not have much time to clear the area and hit the construction equipment and the car flipped and rolled violently.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes I was conscious but I could hear familiar voices, like my friends voice over the ambulance radio. I lost awareness of my body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal I was aware just before I hit the construction zone, I felt like I felt everything in the universe at once, is the best way to describe it. I felt everyone's Happiness and hope and joy as well as sadness and grief.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? Just before the acccident

Were your thoughts speeded up? No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning Yes, please see my description of time in my summary. It seemed as if I was creating time based on my own observations and responses. If I was nervous or acted quickly, time would speed up. At the eye doctor, I noticed that if I waited just a few seconds longer to respond I would see that the people I was speaking to would actually forget what they just said.

Were your senses More vivid than usual? More vivid than usual

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. It was somewhat blurry before the experience and now clear that I am using the eyedrops after the conversation I had with 'jesus'.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. My hearing has always been better than normal, this did not change.

Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere, as if by ESP? Yes, and the facts have been checked out

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Uncertain I saw the entire road and everything turn black, the only thing I could see was the lighted construction area which I had no choice to turn my vehicle towards.

Did you see any beings in your experience? I sensed their presence

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Yes I believe that after I left the hospital in Baltimore a deceased friend of my grandfather met the nurse and I and discussed the taxi that was to take me home. I saw the same man later in Richmond across from the car rental facility.

Did you see, or feel surrounded by, a brilliant light? A light clearly of mystical or other-worldly origin

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes I would see the unearthly light when I would make decisions that would help others. When I was moving out of my apartment a few days after the accident an incredibly bright light came through my window, it was so bright that it was blinding and did not dissipate even up to the point in which I left. The other unearthly lights were at the church service.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? Some unfamiliar and strange place There was a time just before the accident where I thought I had driven into heaven. The road signs were different and unusual and the people seemed to live on this earth but that were outside of this dimension. I even saw some license plates with 'Kingdom (of Heaven)'.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt wonder, timelessness, a feeling of the present moment, no future or past existing

Did you have a feeling of peace or pleasantness? Incredible peace or pleasantness

Did you have a feeling of joy? Happiness

Did you feel a sense of harmony or unity with the universe? I felt united or one with the world

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything? Everything about the universe It felt as if I was apart of everything and that everything was a part of me. I sensed that no being is more important than the other and that we can all have equally as great of affect on one another no matter how 'popular' a person is.

Did scenes from your past come back to you? I remembered many past events These past events felt like present events. I felt like all events I had experienced in the past were actually all happening at once.

Did scenes from the future come to you? Scenes from the world's future It was more of a feeling than a scene really? I would say that it seemed like humanity is creating its own chaotic events on a personal scale adding to a collective consciousness of this.

Did you come to a border or point of no return? I came to a definite conscious decision to return to life I didn't have any choice, it seemed as if I was supposed to hit that barrier

God, Spiritual and Religion:

What was your religion prior to your experience? Christian- Other Christian Coptic conversion on the path to baptism

Have your religious practices changed since your experience? No

What is your religion now? Christian- Other Christian Coptic conversion on the path to baptism

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience I would never have believed some of the events which I had experienced prior to and after the accident. I do have an open mind but I had no idea that some of the experiences with time and different but simultaneous realities could actually occur. I may have heard them mentioned as only theory but to actually experience it is a different thing altogether.

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes Importance of compassion, patience, resilience, respect for others and all life

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I heard a voice I could not identify Upon waking after the accident one morning, I heard an otherworldly voice say with wisdom that I needed to wake up.

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? I sensed their presence

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? Yes Yes, Jesus was present during this experience with the text message about my vision and me finding out that I had superhuman vision.

During your experience, did you gain information about premortal existence? Yes There were papers and items that were not packed with me in my car for the trip and that I hadn't even seen before that ended up in the accident wreckage that may prove multiple timelines exist and that I did not exist in the same timeline as the me that packed those papers.

During your experience, did you gain information about universal connection or oneness? Yes I feel that after the accident we are all connected, I could see how we are all part of the same consciousness.

During your experience, did you gain information about the existence of God? Yes I did actually write a 'letter' to God in detail two months prior to the accident asking him what was going on with me and if he could show me in any way. I feel as if this was answered, as well as my encounter with Jesus and my vision.

Concerning our Earthly lives other than Religion:

During your experience, did you gain special knowledge or information about your purpose? Yes This knowledge is not necessarily special, but I do feel as though I was allowed to see everything as it occurred with no kind of 'glasses' but I could see it for what it was. This goes back to the strange experiences of time. I was checking a voicemail and heard three different recordings go off at the same time. The same events happened when I was at a store. I could hear 'echoes' of events as if I was observing them at the same time but on different timelines (I'm not sure if my description makes any sense)

During your experience, did you gain information about the meaning of life? Yes There is a purpose for us here in this life. I could see that the differences between others and even inanimate objects is just an illusion of separation.

During your experience, did you gain information about an afterlife? An afterlife definitely exists Yes From my experience, it's as if new experiences or if possible timelines are created from our own experiences and that we are actually the one's creating new life. The experience at the hospital of coming out of a violent high speed car crash and all of the events leading up to it and after and that I still have awareness of my existence and others have awareness of me.

Did you gain information about how to live our lives? No

During your experience, did you gain information about life's difficulties, challenges and hardships? Yes I experienced that the challenges and difficulties we create ourselves because we need to learn that we never actually need to worry about anything. Experiences are in and of themselves to be appreciated and lived to the fullest, it has nothing to do with time, because attaching time causes expectations and expectations can lead to disappointment.

During your experience, did you gain information about love? Yes I learned that the Male counterpart to me is me. The single most important thing I learned about love is that it is not harmonious when we operate with expectations. This goes back to the notion of time. The most obvious example of this was at the church service. The Male side of the congregation did the holy kiss at a different time than the Female side, just slightly before. They had actually heard the service at a different rate than the Female side (!)

What life changes occurred in your life after your experience? Large changes in my life I no longer have any fear, I have respect for all life on this planet and I understand and have seen everything is highly valued and is important and equally

Have your relationships changed specifically because of your experience? Yes I find it much easier to communicate with others and share with others since the experience. Before that I was very shy and aloof and even afraid of others.

After the NDE:

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes I cannot describe some of it because time and the sequence of events did not follow our notions of normal time

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience? I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience. Because of the nature of the events, it makes this experience stand out to me and I have forgotten little since I occurred.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes I can see things just before they actually happen, I can see in brilliant colors

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? I feel that my other half, the Male part of me wanted me to experience this but he was no where to be found before, after or during the experiences. I find that especially significant but I do not know why yet.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes I shared it the next day, they all believe it is a miracle and that I am blessed to help others see a new awareness

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes I had a prior NDE where I went unconscious for no reason. I believe I may have met relatives because witnesses said they 'could hear me speaking to others'. This was a different NDE and the experience was different but I do feel as if they same beings could have been involved with this NDE to increase awareness.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real I believed it was real because I could compare it with others experiences at the same time.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real I still believe it really happened due to the amount of evidence that I still currently have.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? Uncertain Not that much time as passed after the experience that I had and this report.

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience? I feel that due to the awkwardness of this experience and the large amount of evidence and that fact that I can remember it I can help others who are suffering from depression, fear or uncertainty.

Are there any other questions that we could ask to help you communicate your experience? I think these questions are sufficient
