Experience Description

I went from hanging in the closet to lying down on the floor. I remember putting my hands in the noose so I could breathe, but I don’t remember how I got fully out of the noose and onto the ground. It was like a blackout between struggling in the closet to lying down with no actual recollection of what happened in between.

I felt like I was floating. I saw myself from above in the closet. Then it felt like I was in a tunnel and became the tunnel when I was on the floor. Although, I was out of my body but still felt partially connected to it. I felt warm and at peace despite being in physical pain. I felt a type of calm such as I’ve never felt while on earth. It was like the haziness you get with a very high fever but in a good way and a lot stronger. I knew If I stayed there, that there would be nothing after this. My body and brain were getting ready for the nothingness that would follow the peace. I knew this place wasn’t forever. I could feel myself come back from out of that place; almost like I was sobering up.

After the NDE:

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Yes I felt a type of calm I've never felt in my regular consciousness during my NDE that's hard to put in words. It was such a specific feeling that could be compared to drugs or being delirious with a very high fever. At the same time, it felt different from those experiences. The same with feeling 'like a tunnel', like I was in a tunnel and that I became the tunnel. I felt out of my body but the feelings and energy of the place I went to in my NDE could go through me, like a tunnel.
