Experience Description Experiencing Heaven (STE) A lucid experience associated with perceived consciousness apart from my body associated with my son's birth. My son was born at on a Tuesday morning in early June. At the time, our daughter was four years old and we lived a couple of miles from the hospital. My wife went into labor around 3:30am. We called our obstetrician and he said something like, no problem, take it easy, I’ll meet you at the hospital after a while and keep me posted. After a short while, my wife's water broke in the bathroom. That meant that it was urgent that we get to the hospital. My wife, daughter, and I quickly got our tote bags and went to get in our car. My wife tried to give birth on our driveway but I said don’t have the baby here, let’s get to the hospital. We got into the car and hurried to the hospital. I pulled up so close to the entry that the front end of the car triggered the automatic doors to open. We got out of the car and went inside to the labor and delivery check-in desk. They told me I had to move the car to some other parking place but I parked it right in front in an empty reserved parking place and ran back inside. At the labor and delivery check-in desk there was another pregnant woman filling out forms and they told us to wait. My wife yelled, “I’m having this baby NOW”. The attendant jumped up, got my wife into a wheelchair, and we all ran down the hallway. We got into the labor and delivery room and the nurses put my wife in the hospital bed. The nurses were telling her not to push because our obstetrician wasn’t there yet. She started pushing anyway because she had to. After a couple of minutes, I was in warrior mode and stepped up to one of the nurses and said forcefully, “GET A DOCTOR IN HERE, NOW!”. She said ok and ran out of the room to get the doctor on duty. The doctor walked in a few minutes later. When the doctor checked the baby, he immediately did an episiotomy, delivered the baby, cut the cord (which had a knot in it), and unwound the cord from the baby’s neck. The baby was born nine minutes after we got to the hospital. The doctor held up the baby and said, “resuscitate this baby”. The baby was completely limp, his skin was purplish blue, and he was not breathing. I cried out “OH GOD” in the spirit – with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength. Then heaven opened, the ceiling became cloudy, three Angels were hovering over the baby as the nurses were working on him and I heard my wife asking, “Is my baby ok?” Then there was heavenly thunder and a heavenly bolt of lightning, and at that moment the baby gasped his first breath and he lived. He was miraculously raised from the dead! I had been standing next to the bed to my wife's left, I saw heaven open, I saw the ceiling of clouds, I saw the three Angels, I heard my wife asking is my baby ok, I heard-felt-saw the heavenly thunder and lightning, I heard the baby gasp his first breath, I saw the baby come to life, and the next thing I knew I was sitting on a stool next to the bed to my wife's left with the nurse giving me smelling salts. The baby was breathing on his own and a nurse handed him to my wife. My wife put my son on her chest. I immediately asked the nurse when the neonatal pediatrician would be there. The nurse said in a few hours. In warrior mode again, I said forcefully, “Get a pediatrician in here, NOW!”. The neonatal pediatrician arrived a few minutes later and immediately put my son into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). My son had aspirated amniotic fluid and was having difficulty breathing. His APGAR score was zero. He was in the NICU for five days, he was released from the hospital, and we brought him home. Ever since he was born, we have always called him our “Miracle Baby”. ### Experiencing Heaven Again (SDE) A lucid experience associated with perceived consciousness apart from my body associated with my Grandma's death. It was late at night when the phone rang. When I answered, a nurse at where my grandma was living said something like, “If you want to say goodbye to your Grandma you should get here as soon as you can.” I quickly jumped in the car and drove to the senior home, which was about a half-hour away. When I arrived, my Dad and my Uncle were already there with my Grandma. I sat down in a chair for a while at the foot of her bed, rested my hand on the blanket at her feet, and I prayed. Grandma’s breathing was labored. Suddenly Grandma cried out loudly and at that moment we went to heaven where I was completely immersed, infused, surrounded, engulfed, and steeped, in the infinite height, and depth, and breadth of God’s infinite love. It was a golden, warm, soft, welcoming, loving, timeless, forgiving, healing, complete-whole, loving, relieving, and joyous homegoing. ### Answers to questions from Dr. Jeff Long: 1. Below you say “the next thing I knew I was sitting on a stool next to the bed to Debby’s left with the nurse giving me smelling salts”. Did you lose consciousness at this time? Was your wife or anyone else aware of the angels, thunder, or lightning? I did not lose consciousness. I was aware of everything that was happening in the earthly and in the heavenly simultaneously. I was the only one aware of the angels, thunder, and lightning. 2. In your second experience you say “Suddenly Grandma Mamita cried out loudly and at that moment we went to heaven where I was completely immersed, infused, surrounded, engulfed, and steeped, in the infinite height, and depth, and breadth of God’s infinite love. It was a golden, warm, soft, welcoming, loving, timeless, forgiving, healing, complete-whole, loving, relieving, and joyous homegoing.” Were you aware of your Grandma during the experience? Was she aware of you? Was your experience at the moment she died, or did she die at some other time? I was aware of my Grandma and she was aware of me. My experience began the moment she died. If you'd like, I'd be glad to have a brief call to share more. Background Information: Gender: Male
