Experience Description

I was turning left at an intersection that night when I happened to 'relook' left and saw a Dodge Ram 3500 truck barreling toward me. Even though his light was red, I somehow knew he wasn't going to stop. I had barely started to enter the intersection and realized if I kept on my course, I wouldn't make it. For whatever reason, I put the car in park. The next thing I knew, I heard/felt the loudest sound I'd ever heard and felt my body letting out a scream/loud noise.

At this same time, I felt as if I were 8 or 10 feet tall. I was looking down at the dash/steering wheel, but I was much higher than I would be if I were seated in the car. I heard/felt a voice asking me, 'Do you want to go/leave?' My response was indignant. I had things to do. I wasn't finished. How dare I be asked to leave!

The next thing I remember is feeling back in my body, smelling something burning and seeing smoke in my car. I was able to unbuckle my seat belt and open the car door. I got out of the car, ran, and sat on the nearby curb. My car was smoking, and the entire front was completely smashed. Several ambulances and fire trucks showed up within a few minutes. The bystanders stared at me with a look on their face that said, 'How did you survive that?' After seeing pictures, no one could believe that the cabin of the car was as intact as it was, compared to the front.
