Experience Description

I don't really recall too much, as my kidneys were failing, I was experiencing severe hallucinations. I'm still not sure what was real and what wasn't. I do remember at the hospital, seeing two doctors and one nurse standing at the bedside of a patient. I knew it to be me. I later found out from a friend. I saw everything as it was. The room I was in didn't have a ceiling, only walls and floor all brightly lit. Where my perception was centered, was beautiful. There was a full moon and every star shone more brightly than ever before. I was standing on the threshold, and all I had to do was step away. I felt voices rather than heard them. I said I wasn't ready, and woke in an intensive care unit 11 days later.

At the time of your experience, was there an associated life-threatening event? Yes Illness. Drug or medication overdose. Clinical death (cessation of breathing or heart function or brain function) My body began to shut down due to the trauma of finding my wife passed due to suicide.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? Yes As I said events were confirmed by a friend. I clearly left my body and existed outside it

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? There was no perception of time. Only a sense of oneness, I now know we and our universe has always been and always will be, one.
