Experience Description

I was drowning in a rip current. At one point, there was a calm in-between wave. I was floating under the surface of the water, out of breath, and sinking.

I imagined I was in my living room, rocking chair looking at both of my parents sitting on the couch. No one was talking. This was so realistic looking, I thought it was real.

It was like I was floating over myself. It was so quiet and extremely peaceful; I remember the clear blue water and sun rays shining through either before or after this happened.

After I was pulled out of the water, my vision was black and white. I kept throwing up since I swallowed so much salt water.

I feel like this event has changed my life and I still feel different 10+ years later.
