Experience Description On Feb 2, 2025, I was on my way to visit my daughter. When I arrived at her house, I took two steps out of my car and collapsed. My heart stopped. This was not a heart attack, but an electrical issue in my body that caused my heart to stop. A witness saw me collapse and called 911. 8 minutes later, firemen and EMTs arrived to begin working on me. The firefighters administered CPR for 22 minutes and I was shocked 9 times before my heart started again. After my heart started again, I was transported to a local hospital. The doctors told my wife that I would not survive due to the length of time I was without a heartbeat. I was placed in a medically induced coma for 48 hours and my body packed with ice. The total time my heart had stopped was 30 minutes. When I woke up from the coma, the doctors were amazed that I survived and had no brain damage. I was considered a miracle, as this was not medically possible according to them. I suffered 9 broken ribs and a broken sternum while being administered the CPR. These injuries can take up to a year to recover, if at all. I now have a pacemaker, since they cannot determine how or why my heart stopped. Aside from that, I feel great now and have essentially made a full recovery. While I was out those 30 minutes with no heartbeat, I had an out of body experience watching from above while the firemen and EMTs were working on me. The next thing I recall was seeing my body lying down at the entrance of the small town cemetery where I'm from. Two entities from the cemetery picked me up and carried me to a freshly dug grave next to where my father is buried. My father had passed away 1.5 years ago. I felt terrified knowing that I had died or was about to. When they were getting ready to place my body in the grave, my dad came out of his grave. He told them not to put me in the grave because it wasn't my time. I can only guess that this is when my heart started again. I do not recall this, but my wife told me that I had said to her that my dad was talking with me while I was in the 48 hour coma. I was in the hospital for 12 days and went back to work after 8 weeks. I'm back to living a normal life again. While my out of body experience freaks me out thinking about it, I tell everyone who will listen to me what I saw. I don't know where I was or where I was going, but there is something after this life. I faced a lot of anxiety after I got home from the hospital. I was trying to understand if I had a different direction in life after receiving this miracle. I've since gotten over my anxiety, and figure that my purpose will come to me in time. I don't need to pressure myself into trying to figure this out right now. For reference, I'm a healthy guy who works out all the time. I don't smoke, am in shape and eat a good diet. My heart remains healthy and fine. This was a fluke event that happened to me and I'm told it does occasionally happen to healthy people with no notice. I am beyond thankful to still be alive. Addendum: I was able to confirm that what I saw with the firefighters and EMTs working on me was correct. I told my wife what I saw and she confirmed it to be true based on what she was told. I also later spoke with the first responders after I got home and was mobile again. I visited them. When I went from seeing the first responders to seeing my body at the cemetery, I really don't recall what that transition was. In both instances, I was out of body. As a reference point of my experience, below is a link to an interview held with our local news station. One of the firefighters that saved me called the news station and told them about me surviving and what a miracle it was. I agreed to the interview only if the first responders were involved.
