Experience description: 

there was no wall in the ICU, all I saw was blue people and trees and I wanted to get over to the other side to the ladies in bright white who were laughing and throwing snow and one of the ladies was my grandma Bessie. The blue trees and people would not let me thru. I was always floating above the bed. No matter how hard I tried to go across the trees I couldn't.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? No      

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          Yes     Renal failure, congestive heart failure and respiratory failure, on ventilator in the ICU

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    Wasn't conscious of what was going on in real life for 5 days.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?    Less consciousness and alertness than normal

Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?  Yes     the bright light blue and the bright white dresses the old ladies wore

            No

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            anger to not being able to cross over the trees

Did you see a light?           Uncertain      bright white of the dresses of the ladies

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes     beyond the blue trees and people. one was my grandma. just laughing
