Ernestine N's Probable NDE

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

            I was lifted and surrounded by marshmallow-soft LOVE . No words can describe the perfect  happiness and security of that palpable LOVE.  The whole atmosphere  actually consisted of LOVE.   Then I looked down and saw several people whom I did not recognize. They looked up at me and said, "This is the real world. We're the real people. Stay here."  But I knew I had to go back.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes     I was  embraced in an atmosphere of palpable, marshmallow-soft LOVE. I felt happier, safer, more secure, beyond anything that could be expressed in words.

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          Yes     Doctors were unsuccessfully trying to pull my crushed pelvis back into place. I was told that I screamed a terrifying jungle scream that made my husband , who was in the room) faint.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    I  felt alert during the whole experience and I recall it now as well as I did right afterward.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?    Normal consciousness and alertness

Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?  No      

Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.)?            No      

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     No

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            TOTALLY LOVED,  TOTALLY HAPPY AND SECURE

Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?          No      

Did you see a light?           No       The light  was  not just light . It WAS LOVE embracing and cuddling and surrounding me.

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes     They were in an area just below me. I didn't know them.  They said, "We're the real people. This is the real place. Stay here."

Did you experience a review of past events in your life?    No       I learned that there really is a non-physical dimension that's filled with God's love. I already knew that we're spirits because my grandpa visited me after he died when I was ten years old. But I hadn't known about the LOVE that fills the spirit dimension.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No      

Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or dimensions?            Yes     Just the dimension that's filled with LOVE

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes     The space was  certainly altered.

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?     No      

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? No      

Did you become aware of future events?       No           

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience you did not have prior to the experience?     No      

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     I told my husband. He had thought I was in excruciating pain because I had  screamed. I've written about it in my personal memoir.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?    No      

How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:            Experience was definitely real    My view of it never changed.  And during the early 1970s  I was watching TV News and heard a soldier say he was in a plane being strafed and terrified but suddenly he saw an angelic figure say he'd be okay and he felt surrounded by "marshmallow soft love"...the exact same description as my own!!! So I know that love filled dimension exists outside of my own experience.

Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to you?   

How do you currently view the reality of your experience:            Experience was definitely real            See # 40

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?           No      

Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?            No           

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No       No substances.  But I've had very specific precognitive dreams  and some experiences that seem miraculous beyond ant possibility of coincidence.
