EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
I was rear ended in a car accident - that sandwiched me accordion style between a city bus an the dodge truck that hit me going 50 mile and hour.
I was knocked unconscious and the vehicles door had to be removed with the jaws of life.
I suffered extensive wounds to my lower body - and a concussion - I was laid up at home on the couch for 12 weeks.
I have since then made a fully physical recovery.
my memories of the incident were seeing the truck headed towards me as I was stopped behind the bus - I could see it approaching in my rearview mirror - and I thought ' I'm going to die and I'm really going to miss my kids'
and then the airbag blew up in my face and I was in this amazing golden light- and it felt like joy all around me I felt fabulous- no pain, no worries, complete contentment - and the warm light was "God" or my idea of God - I felt loved and cared for and precious - which was fabulous - and it seemed like everything made sense - it was like an "Ahhah" moment.
this presence didn't tell me it was god - that was my later determination - we try to ascribe labels to things that shouldn't have labels - anyway, this intense energy force wanted to be with me and that was all I cared about at that time.
then suddenly I was watching from above my jeep - I could see all the people moving around and I felt this intense need to tell them that it didn't matter - that I was great - and I even seemed to not really understand what they were trying to accomplish - 'why would you try to revive me? what would be the purpose? it seemed like I could not feel the desire that they felt as if I was removed and so I became entertained by watching them walk around and yell at each other.
then the presence asked me a question which I described below in question 32 - and then I was back in my body.
and everyone was moving
very fast around me again.
Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes I was surrounded by a golden light - the emotion was some
combination of peace, joy, euphoria, intense but calm - absolutely beyond what
any words can express - all of this sounds so cliché - all I know is I told
everyone that I no longer fear death, I actually am anticipating that experience
again.
At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event? Yes I was in a serious car accident and was
unresponsive on the scene.
At what time
during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and
alertness? when I was out of my body
How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience
compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal
If your highest
level of consciousness and alertness during the experience was different from
your normal every day consciousness and alertness, please explain:
when I was out of my body
Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any
aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception
degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)? Yes colors were brighter and definition was amazing I wasn't
sure if I was way above or right beside the paramedic - I could see it all,
Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any
aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness,
etc.)?
Yes I could hear what everyone was saying even the people
whispering at the bus stop - my god she's dead.
Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body? Yes
What emotions
did you feel during the experience?
It seemed like finally everything made sense - there was no pain - I
had morphine once in the hospital for a torn ligament - and it was a lot like
that - only I was very sharp and aware - and in the presence of an intelligence
that adored me - or so it seemed.
Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?
No
Did you see a light?
Yes more like engulfed in light
Did you meet or see any other beings?
No
Did you experience a review of past events in your life? No
Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your
experience that could be verified later?
Yes I never verified it but the paramedic on the other side of the fire
truck, 100 feet outside of my viewing range - kept loosing his boot - I thought
it was funny.
Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or
dimensions?
No
Did you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes time seemed to move slowly - people talked slowly.
Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or
purpose? Yes It's difficult to explain but I try to carry the energy
that I experienced that day with me.
I have struggled to
find words and have given up - how do explain something without a reference
point - and if it is "like" something - then it is like many things combined
that all sound cliché and reduce it to simple words without the incredible
energy - and it minimizes the experience. when you attempt to define, you simply
negate.
Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? Yes - I was asked a very simple question - the voice was male,
soothing, not a particularly low voice and not very loud - the question was
casual, kind of off the cuff - he asked me "do you want to?" and I knew what he
meant was do you want to stay and go on -
and I said, in my head
because I seemed to have lost my ability to speak - " my children still need me.
I want to stay." and the next thing I knew I was staring into a blond
paramedics face and he said - she's breathing again.
Did you become aware of future events?
Yes
actually not at that time - but now I can tell when things are
going to happen - I can't control the subject material like ' will I get that
new job' but I
do get really strong gut reactions about people and events that have oddly
always been correct.
Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the
experience you did not have prior to the experience? Yes I answered that above.
sometimes I get really
strong gut reactions to tell someone something, to drive somewhere, to give
somebody something - and there have been some very startling results - I get
feelings from people and buildings - I can usually tell who is calling on the
phone.
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes my mom and my children immediately afterwards - but I haven't told
anyone else.
Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your
experience?
No
How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it
happened:
Experience was definitely real it was definitely real.
Were there one
or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to
you? I think
all fear is related to the fear of death and I have absolutely no fear of death
-
