Experience description:

I was playing at the home of a friend when I was about 10 years old. We were on her back porch which had an iron railing around it. Hanging out of the nearby kitchen window was a (now old-fashioned) window air-conditioning unit. It had just rained and everything was wet. I sat up on the railing and put my hand on a metal brace hanging from the unit. I started getting electrically shocked, and started shaking all over, (like you see in the cartoons!). Anyway, my friend started calling my name, and then when I couldn't move, she touched me. This broke the current apparently and she got shocked. I was probably only shaking seconds. During this time I had a "life review".

I wish I could remember more details about it, (I'd like to be hypnotized to see if I could go back there). It was like a dream, but someone took me to a place and reviewed every moment, every second of my life up to that point. I remember later being amazed that in just a few seconds I could see 10 years, but I could. I could see every good thing and every bad thing and every experience I ever had. I think there was a wheel of some sort, (but I may have read this somewhere and imagined it.) At the time I don't remember telling anyone about what happened to me, because I wasn't exactly sure. I do remember feeling like time was completely different in the place where I was.

Years later when I first heard of "near-death" experiences and began reading about them, someone wrote of "life-reviews", and I was like, "Wow, that is exactly what happened to me."

Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?     No

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Uncertain

I was young, and did not understand it for years, (what it was)-until I started reading about near-death experiences many years later. I wish I could remember the experience more vividly.
