EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

After a brief visit in a physicians office he determined I had a ruptured ovarian cyst and was rushed to ER.  I was in intense pain, but alert and conscious throughout the transport. While in ER my blood pressure fell off to near nothing and I heard the Dr. say to my husband and mother "We're LOSING HER!". I felt intense cold and felt like I was "swimming". My next thoughts were: So this is what it's like to die! No more pain! I should be seeing JESUS! And I was in  his presence within a nanosecond.  I was not allowed to "see" anything at all. The unconditional LOVE and acceptance I felt has no earthly comparison. I was told "telepathically" as my ears heard nothing, that I could stay and "All is well".  I had no memories of my life or earthly associations at that moment, and all I wanted was to stay forever in the presence of His light and love.  So happy to be home!  Then He "reminded" me of my 3-yr-old daughter who has a visual impairment and my 9-month old baby boy with Down's Syndrome.  Without any details, it was made known to me that their lives would be much more difficult and they might not fare well without me.  With the reminder of those left behind, I knew I had to return because I loved them so very much and they needed me. Their father was immature and not a very enthusiastic parent who already had difficulties focusing on family. This realization and acknowledgement instantly put me back and I was in emergency surgery with anesthesia ready to be administered. The surgical repair went off without a hitch and all bleeding was stopped. Recovery was rapid. The children's father died in 2005. I hope and pray he is waiting there for us now.

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   No 

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No    

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    Throughout.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      Normal consciousness and alertness  

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   No "visuals" were permitted.  Perhaps I would not have been able to choose to return had I been allowed to "see".

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   No hearing with my ears was necessary.  All the words He spoke were directly to my mind.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   No  

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Unconditional acceptance and a LOVE more intense than any earthly experience. I felt HOME AT LAST! I wasn't given time to ponder the decision.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   With my eyes SEALED SHUT the brightness of the LIGHT was more intense than I could ever have imagined.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
I felt the presence of my LORD, but did not "see" anything. He spoke, but my sense of hearing was not used. Every word was crystal clear.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   Yes   JESUS WAS THERE

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   No  

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   Yes   I was "reminded" that my young children needed their mother.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   A clearly mystical or unearthly realm
Yes, but again, no visuals.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning
Time was irrelevant.

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   No

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   I came to a definite conscious decision to "return" to life
My babies needed me.

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No 

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   JESUS was there!

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s meaning or purpose?   No   I was informed that my children's lives would become much more difficult without me.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s difficulties, challenges, or hardships?   Yes   I was informed that my children's lives would become much more difficult without me.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding love?   Yes   That I was safe and surrounded by LOVE that I couldn't even fathom.

During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information / awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living our earthly lives?   No  

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   No  

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience  

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   The memory has never changed.  No additions, no deletions.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   I began to abuse drugs and alcohol within a few years of this experience.  I recovered from substance abuse. I got divorced.  My ex-husband died in a tragic accident.  My children are grown and still dependent.

My experience directly resulted in:   No changes in my life

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   Yes   The strength and conviction of my faith are increased.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Yes   I may as well serve as a "human" lie detector! I feel I was given the capacity to expose lies as they are presented to me, even when only acknowledged to myself.    

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  I have shared with loved ones who are dying and with others if I feel a nudge from the HOLY SPIRIT to do so.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   No  

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   As fact.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real   It happened, so to view it otherwise would be lying to myself.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?   No  

Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Yes   I realized that religion and spirituality are two different critters.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?   No     

Did the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?   Yes    

What could a national organization with an interest in near death experience (NDE) do that would be of interest to you?        Tell the stories simply without "artistic license" taken.  Don't drag out each one to sensationalize NDE's.  Tell more of them in a shorter amount of time.
