Kadri M Probable NDE

Edited for clarity by Judy Shea 11/2/12

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

I was seven years old and, as children usually are at that age, I wanted to be like the other children around me. (By this time I had already noticed that I was different from other children in my town because of my financial status.)

And so my meeting with God in an out-of-body experience happened, I think, as a result of my natural childish idea that I could prove to the other children that whatever they could do, I could do, too. So I crossed the river from one side to the other, just like they did. But when they got to the other side, they kept on walking toward their homes. And I remember so clearly that when I arrived on the other side, I suddenly realized that "Oops, I have to turn around and go back!" so I could go home.  I was already tired because the water was so deep that it took all my strength to get through it.

( Here is a clip on YouTube of me standing by this very same river and talking about my experience: " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5V9Q7HGHB38 "  You can get a feeling of what it was like for a seven year old girl to walk through this river. It's not very wide, but it runs deep as it cuts through the meadow.)

On my way back, right in middle of pushing my way back through the river's water, I suddenly felt myself so tired that I sat down in the water right where I was. And yes, I can't explain how I left my body, but it reminds me of John 8:51 "Truly, I say unto you, anyone who keeps my word, he shall never see death."

And I remember that suddenly I was in Heaven, standing before an angel who was holding the Book of the Lamb. To me, it seemed to be a wonderfully friendly place. Of course I was surprised to be there, but I really liked it from the first moment of my arrival. While I was looking around and getting know the place, suddenly I heard a man's voice saying to me, "You need to go back. Your time has not yet come!”  I didn't see who was talking to me, but I felt his voice echoing deep down inside my body.

Right away I was back on Earth where my body was. And when I saw my body with bubbles coming out of it, I knew what had happened. And then, as I was looking at my body, I was somehow back inside it again.

I realized that no one had discovered me yet, so I stood up in the water like nothing had happened. And because what I had experienced had been very shocking to me, I ran home as fast as I could and rushed into my house without saying anything to anyone.  It reminds to me of what is written in Isaiah 43:2 – "Even when you cross deep rivers, I will be with you, and you will not drown."

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   Yes

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  Yes

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    My spirit knew what was going on with me. I think that when I was back in my body, I became fully alert regarding what had just happened moments ago.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal.   After it had happened and I saw those bubbles coming out of my body, I understood exactly what was going on with my body. And when I was back in my body, I got this shocked feeling from all that had happened to me. It caused me to be intensely alert. You can imagine that as a seven year old child, listening to the voice of man echoing way down deep inside in your body would be a very strange experience.

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   When I was out of my body, I was a spiritual being and was capable of seeing and sensing more than it is possible while in body.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   It was on higher level.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   No

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   A feeling of friendliness, acceptance and love while I was sensing the atmosphere of the place, and then when I was told that I had to go back, I felt sad.

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes.   The light that was in that place was different – an unearthly light that was extremely bright but not at all painful to my eyes.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I heard a man's voice, clearly of mystical or unearthly origin, saying to me that my time had not come yet and that I had to go back. The strange thing about it was that I didn't hear it with my ears. It echoed way down deep inside of my body.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   Uncertain.   I didn't fully know who the man that was talking to me really was. I supposed that it might be Jesus.

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   No

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   A clearly mystical or unearthly realm.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Time seemed to be different in this place from what it is in the earthly realm. Because of its unusual feelings of friendliness and acceptance, and because of hearing this voice echoing deep inside my body, I knew that I was in some other world – heaven.

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Yes.
I suppose that I did, because if I hadn't, then Jesus would not have said to me that my time had not come yet.

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   I came to a definite conscious decision to "return" to life. Even though I really wanted to stay in that place so full of friendliness and love, I chose to follow the voice.

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes.   Because I had been alive in another existence, and not in my body, this gave me evidence that I was a spiritual being.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   Yes.   I realized that I am an eternal being.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s meaning or purpose?   Uncertain

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s difficulties, challenges, or hardships?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding love?   Yes.   In that place, I felt such feelings of love.

During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information / awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living our earthly lives?   No

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   No

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was entirely not consistent with the beliefs I had at the time of my experience.  I had only maybe once heard that there is Jesus or God, and nothing else.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience as accurately as other life events that occurred around the time of the experience.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   Some results of this visit to Heaven were as follows: I became different from others physically, too – I begin to become bigger in my body – I remember my mother saying to me at that age, “suddenly you are getting bigger!”

Also, I became very sensitive to the spiritual world and I begin to read a lot. At first I read easy books, but as I get older, I begin to read deeper and deeper books – about psychology, religion, and magic.  Now, as I look back on it, I understand that it had happened the way it did because my spirit had already begun to search for truth. And then this experience happened – this trip to Heaven, showing me the truth of the eternal. ( See Ephesians 1:13.)

My experience directly resulted in:   Moderate changes in my life
