EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
They were
performing an angioplasty on me, they had entered via radial, I was feeling
an intense pain in my chest and I was feeling the movement of the guide of
the angioplasty in all my arm and chest. I felt that it was better to relax
in order not to feel the pain. Suddenly, my sensation is like zapping, as if
somebody had changed the channel, I was in a place poorly lit with light in
the background, there were people but I couldn’t precisely tell who they
were, it was like a reunion. I was feeling a calm and deep peace, no pain, I
was close to somebody but, I repeat, I didn’t know who that was. Sharply,
they took me out of there, as if someone had changed the channel, I see the
cardiologist doing the external cardiac massage. And to tell you the truth,
I got scared there and I realized that I had had a cardiac arrest and I
asked the doctor. I really consider myself very fortunate to have a second
chance in this life.
Was the
kind of experience difficult to express in words?
Yes. I was
in a place of absolute calm, with people I didn’t know, an impressive peace.
I was speaking with someone that I cannot precise and I don’t remember what
I was saying. And suddenly they took me out of there. I woke up with the
CPR.
At the time
of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?
Yes. The
cardiologist that was performing the angioplasty told me that I had suffered
an a systole, or a cardiac arrest; that he
started to reanimate me immediately, I calculate that everything must have
been very fast since they administered me that atropine and the sinus rhythm
started. I consider myself very lucky to be alive.
