EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

I was shot and fell by the roots of a tree, as I lay there all grew quiet, I heard song birds singing in the branches above me, I wondered where they came from because a battle usually ran all wild life off. I was at great peace and in no pain... suddenly and without warning my stomach had a cramp and I felt and heard breath tearing into my lungs which began to burn now... I looked down and could see my small intestines coming out of a hole in me. I quickly looked away again as this information was disturbing...I could not move after a while, not even move my eyes or close them..I heard a voice say hey this one is still pumping out blood, is he alive then? Someone else pulled me on a stretcher and was running.. I Went into a dream, saw all but did not let it affect me I was at peace...I saw myself being put on a table and people were doing things to my body..I still was an observer only at this point..I heard someone say we are losing him, and some one else said give him 2cc of something, suddenly bang I was back in my pain wrecked body again, I spoke, the surgeon said be quiet we fixing you go back to sleep..I took him at his word and fell asleep, waking a week later in Japan in one of the famous buildings there for VN wounded.....

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   Yes  I was shot in the abdomen several times as a medic...I had a friend die in my hands and for reasons unknown to me I stood up in Battle

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No    

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    as I lay floating over me

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   I was a level up from norm, nothing disturbed me, I was at peace

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   all was bright

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   No  

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning

the peace gave me all I needed

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes   I was me still but a peaceful me and a knowing came with it
