EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
After I died,
I remember being pulled upwards towards the ceiling. Then suddenly the ceiling
became a white mass which swirled into a blue tunnel. My spirit body? or soul
was lifted up into the light.
As I was floating in the tunnel, I could see a bright white light at the end of that tunnel. However, when I was about halfway there, I felt this feeling as if a higher power was forcing me back down and urging me to go back to my body. Honestly, I was upset. I didn't want to go back. I wanted to go into the light, because there was so much peace, and a soothing, calm feeling. So I was trying to force myself back into the light, but, once again, I felt a presence urging me back down the tunnel to my body. I awoke, back in my body, with doctors and nurses all around me.
After the event,
I wasn't the same. It made me feel like I was meant to do something important.
But I also felt as if God didn't want me because when I wanted to go with him
into the light to where I presumed Heaven was, he refused to let me go with him.
Since my OBE/NDE experience, I have become somewhat psychic. I see and hear
spirits and feel negative energy. I also see auras and non-human entities. It's
completely changed my life.
Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the
experience?
No
Was the
kind of experience difficult to express in words?
Yes. Everything
about the experience seemed 100% real. It's difficult to describe because it's
beyond my thinking capacity.
At the
time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening
event?
Yes.
Diagnosed with Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) at 20.
During the event,
I experienced arrhythmia, then cardiac arrest. Doctors said I was dead for 4
minutes.
What was
your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?
175 out of
100. I was at a higher state of alertness.
Was the
experience dream-like in any way?
No, it felt
physically real. Like walking across the street.
Did you
experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Yes. I saw my
soul when I was floating in the tunnel. My arms were spread out on either side
of me, and I could see my hands. They looked like they were glowing white and
translucent, almost like I was wearing cheese cloth.
What
emotions did you feel during the experience?
Happiness, Joy,
Love. Afterwards, I felt disappointment that I hadn't gone into the light. I
also felt a little angry about that.
Did you
hear any unusual sounds or noises?
I heard the doctors
and nurses, but besides that, nothing else.
LOCATION
DESCRIPTION:
Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar
religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or
amazing creatures?
No
Did you
see a light?
Yes. I was in a
bright blue tunnel of light. At the end of the tunnel there was an even whiter,
though softer, white light.
Did you
meet or see any other beings?
Yes. I believe I
was greeted by a presence, perhaps God or an Angel? It wasn't a physical person,
but I had a feeling that some being was greeting me. It did not feel human.
Did you
experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?
No
Did you
observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that
could be verified later?
No
Did you
notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they
different?
Yes My eyes saw
things differently. It was like a mirror-world to ours, except everything was
lighter and brighter.
Did you
have any sense of altered space or time?
No
Did you
have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
Yes The presence was forcing me back to my physical body because, it
was making it clear, I had a purpose to fulfill.
Did you
reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
Yes. Halfway up
the tunnel, the presence intervened and prevented me from going further. I felt
it was a warning that if I went further, I couldn't go back.
Did you
become aware of future events?
No
Were you
involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?
Yes. Yes,
the presence made the decision on their own. I wanted to stay, and the presence
knew it, but wouldn't let me stay, no matter how badly I wanted to. I felt upset
with the presence for making me go back.
Did you
have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
that you did not have prior to the experience?
Yes.
Before the experience, I had seen a spirit or two, but since the event, I can
now see them all the time.
I see auras,
spirits, non-human entities, and experience OBEs often, along with lucid
dreaming.
Did you
have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?
Yes. Before the
experience, I believed in God, but not to the degree I do now.
How has
the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices?
Career choices?
I live my life
knowing that when I die, there is a better place where I will go, and that
meanwhile, for some reason, I have a purpose for being here now.
Have you
shared this experience with others?
Yes. They didn't
believe me. Not my family, and not the medical professionals who treated me. I
didn't share it with anyone else.
What
emotions did you experience following your experience?
Hurt, anger and
hope.
I felt hurt and angry afterwards, because you literally feel like you're being forced out of Heaven.
Then I realized I was sent back for a reason, so that gave me hope.
What was the best and worst part of your experience? Best part was feeling the presence. And knowing there is something more to life, and realizing I am supposed to do something honorable.
Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience? No
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience? No
Did the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience? Yes
