EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

I was completely conscious and terrorized by what was happening and without ceasing to have physical convulsions caused by the electricity, I began having at the same time--what was clearly and with total awareness--a life review.  I don't remember if this went back in time or began with my childhood, but it was as if living the actual life of other people and feeling the consequences of my actions on them.  Everything I had done in my life had consequences and these were felt and lived by me, causing me to feel profound sadness, repentance and pain which I will never forget.  It was a fearful and unpleasant experience.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? No

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          Yes     I grabbed hold of an electrical wire and was electrocuted.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    My level of consciousness never left me at any time.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?    Normal consciousness and alertness  My level of consciousness never left me at any time.

Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?  No

Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.)?           No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     No

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            I experienced sadness and pain, just what others experienced because of my actions.

Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?         No

Did you see a light?         No

Did you meet or see any other beings?        No

Did you experience a review of past events in your life?    Yes     Without a doubt...and the experience affected my life, but not always.  I mean one often acts instinctively, without thinking or going beyond the immediate circumstances.  I think these events are dealt with in the moment, with great pain and suffering because of the harm caused.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No

Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or dimensions?           No

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes     I relived my life, just as it was, which evidently was within time and space yet once the event was re-experienced I realized that everything happened in a few seconds, perhaps less than a second.

How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:            Experience was definitely real   I relived my life and the effects my actions had on others.  Of this I have never doubted.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience:            Experience was definitely real   At some point in time, with no regard for age, there will be a life review and we will relive the consequences of our actions.  If the consequences were painful, we will experience this pain.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?           Uncertain          Very likely.  I am fearful of being deceptive or wounding the feelings of others.

Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?            No

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No

Did the questions asked and information you provided so far accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?         Uncertain

Are there any other questions we could ask to help you communicate your experience?   Yes.  Ask those who have had a life review if they actually experienced the effects of their acts on others as others experienced them.
