EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
At the time I had no idea I was pregnant. I was found collapsed and driven to
the hospital. I was barely aware of where I was could not move and was in great
pain. I was suddenly outside my body watching my parents, sister and doctors
talk about me and my possible condition and fixes. I was screaming this could
not be happening and then there was my deceased grandparents at my side. they
were perfect and so was everything about the world. I was calmed immediately.
they begun to lead me through a void towards a light. I was not happy at all to
be going the direction they wanted me to go. closer to the light someone asked
me if I wanted to go back. I knew I did and was going to go back. suddenly I
was again above my body in the hospital in a hall way being told by a doctor
they were going to save me as they pushed the gurney into an operating room.
the next thing I remember was waking up in recovery.
Was
the kind of experience difficult to express in words?
No
At
the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?
Yes
At
what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness
and alertness?
from the time of seeing the scene from above to when I looked down again coming
back into myself.
How
did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience
compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?
More consciousness and alertness than normal
If
your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience was
different from your normal every day consciousness and alertness, please
explain:
from the time of seeing the scene from above to when I looked down again coming
back into myself.
Did
your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect,
such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of
solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?
Uncertain the depth and dimensions were as one is the best way to explain
it...the void was there, the grandparents were then just there...the moving was
effortless and the clarity of the reality of what was happening to my body and
the choice I could make was instantaneous....like when I knew I wanted to go
back poof I was there
Did
your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any
aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness,
etc.)?
Uncertain I only remember communications from inside my head
Did
you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?
Yes
What emotions did you feel during the experience?
I was angry at first and as soon as the grandparents were there .
There was complete calmness
Did
you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?
Yes there was a void where I then came to be with my grandparents and then
we moved through a tunnel like or rather towards a light in the void/darkness
Did
you see a light?
Yes it was a big bright light like the sun but stronger but there was no
issue with gazing at it or into it
Did
you meet or see any other beings?
Yes my deceased grandparents met with me
Did
you experience a review of past events in your life?
No
Did
you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience
that could be verified later?
Yes I told my mother about the conversation they had and how I had tried to
talk to them but they did not listen to me. I asked the doctor why he was
talking to me as I was being wheeled to the operating room and if he thought I
was really there.....he said I proved to him I was there somewhere and he asked
if I was in my body or out
Did
you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or
dimensions?
No
Did
you have any sense of altered space or time?
Yes things were happening instantaneously. a thought a communication and
flash it was done with out seemingly any effort
Did
you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?
Yes simply all was one and one was all
Did
you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?
Uncertain there was a place before we got fully to the light I was asked if
I wanted to go back. it seemed to be a place where if I crossed on over with my
grandparents and the other beings I would not be able to go back to my body
Did
you become aware of future events?
No
Did
you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience
you did not have prior to the experience?
No
Have you shared this experience with others?
Yes as soon as I was able after 3 days of heavy drugged out hanging on to
life. it was so fantastic and I was questioning everybody. my mother thought
it must have been heaven, she is very Christian. it seemed to deepen her sense
of her religion and an afterlife
Did
you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?
No
How
did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it
happened:
Experience was definitely real I found out about NDEs as soon as I could and
have been asking and talking with people when it feels right and the people are
receptive. some people strictly believe it is a normal phenomenon of death of
the brain and body
Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or
significant to you?
being a part of the whole and knowing we are all here in the same position and
to help one another
How
do you currently view the reality of your experience:
Experience was definitely real I have talked with lots of people that have
had the same experience or knew of someone that had a similar experience
Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your
experience?
No
Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a result of your
experience?
Yes
I
was an atheist and now I believe in a Guiding Organizing Designing
process...whatever that process may be I am still not sure it is a entity as
much a general energy of the universe
Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life,
medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?
No
Did
the questions asked and information you provided so far accurately and
comprehensively describe your experience?
Yes I may have left out that besides my grandparents there were other
people/being there I did not recognize but understood to be loving
Are
there any other questions we could ask to help you communicate your experience?
I have talked with a veteran of the Korean war and he said his experience had
some spirits that he thought to have been the people he killed in the war and
they were like being mean to him as he first went over. he said he had
expressed regret and sorrow with them immediately and they became friendly. I
am greatly interested in the not so joyful/happy experiences people have had in
NDEs. surely this one man's story must be supported by others?
