EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

At the time of the story I was a chosen agent of the State Police, in service to the compartment of the Postal Police, on 19/06/1991 at 16.45 I was doing an escort service to a postal van, I was inside the post office in Naples, while I went out in an elevator building with the values ​​I found myself in front of six robbers, one of them shot me in the chest, only thanks to my instinct to arm my M12 the bullet hit me at the base of my neck cutting the subclavian artery sharply and hitting against the bone of the scapula, it fell down cracking the first rib and the second, the projectile was broken in two and came out from the shoulder blade. During the trip to the hospital in a police car on board because of an exsanguinations I was dying, I spoke with a colleague who tried to keep me awake, but in my mind the memories of my life disappeared with frightening frames in succession as the brain itself was emptying. When I arrived I went into a coma in the hospital for bleeding, they managed to stabilize my conditions only around 12 pm, taking me into surgery. Now I come to tell what I experienced during the second operation the next day, started at 19.00 and ended at 03,30, be pointed out that the previous day I was more conscious and aware calm because of the need to redo the operation. 

When I was asleep under general anesthesia as I saw a little light in total darkness and wandered towards a definite direction, I felt absolute peace and a feeling of well being, then suddenly I was restrained by an invisible force and felt the sensation as If some people were judging me, the feelings were positive or negative, and I was in a state of anxiety, then as if by magic that mysterious force that was holding me back was gone and I continued to travel, then suddenly a light appeared very large I felt a state of absolute well-being, as I approached the light and the more I knew that my place was with her, when I reached behind me, it opened a beautiful vision, there were thousands of lights as I was and all you moving with harmony, I was happy because I knew that my place was with them. Then suddenly I repeated all the way back at breakneck speed, yet I found myself lying on the operating table, my body was still asleep but I felt that is I heard and felt everything with an anxiety state I witnessed the last hours of the operation up to what my body started waking up from anesthesia.

I was shocked by what I experienced I felt the need of telling that to someone, so at about 10.00 am I was approached by a monk who was often in the intensive care to bring comfort to people hospitalized, I decided at the time of the telling him my experience, he very carefully listen to whole story and then said something that upset me, "dear brother for 25 years I have been coming to this place and nobody has ever told such a stories, if this is all true it is also great because it is under anesthesia it's really impossible to dream "then he added," it is very likely that during the operation you had a crisis and they have lost you, "at approximately 12.00 on the tour I asked the medical supervision with a discretion to one of the doctors who were present at ' operation for the event itself had some difficulty during surgery, the same was very hesitant but then told me that for a time they had lost me. So I decided to keep that beautiful experience for me, now after 21 years I told my experience few people because there is much skepticism on the part of people to believe these things and the only person who showed me to believe my great experience was that monk.

Yes On 19/06/1991 due to a gunfight I was operated on for an emergency reconstruction of the SX Subclavian artery, through the application of Bay-subclavian bypass humerus, the day after ( 20) I was brought back to the operating room for repeating the surgery because the predicted Bay-pass was not working, it was during the second intervention occurred.

Did your vision diff in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, Such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness / transparency of objects, etc..)?   Yes Throughout the trip I saw and felt but not as usually happens with the visual field of the eyes, I had an overview of everything that surrounded me. After that when I found myself in the operating room with my body still asleep I had a normal visual field even though my eyes were actually closed yet

Did your hearing differed in Any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.).?
Yes I did not hear, but I felt both positive and negative feelings. Then when I found myself in the operating room with my body still asleep I had a normal hearing range.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?      Yes

What emotions did you feel during the experience? Beautiful and indescribable because as far as one can imagine the peace and tranquility that is not certainly the one experienced

Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?          No.       

Did you see a light?            Yes A light much larger than the sun but shining as a white light, nice to see it instilled peace and tranquility

Did you meet or see any other beings? No.

Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or dimensions? Uncertain       

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?    Yes A feeling of deep space with huge dark until I saw the beautiful light.

Did you have a sense of Knowing special knowledge, universal order and / or purpose? Uncertain

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience you did not have prior to the experience? Yes Following that experience, I started writing poetry (which I never did), painting with much more passion and above all I enjoy reading, but most upsetting was the fact of having the awareness to believe in providence, in time of need asking in your heart, and that inner voice that was previously very little is now living with another person who speaks to me from the inside of my ego

Have you shared this experience with others?          Yes I told my experience few people after some years, but their first reaction of wonder then vanished as persistently they tried to give the thing a plausible explanation.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?     Yes I had previously heard of stories like that, but I did not give much weight to the thing. The thing that convinced me to write was a program on History Channel watching Dr. JEFF Song who told about a girl who had the same experience.

How did you view the reality of your experience Shortly (days to weeks) after It Happened: Experience was definitely real. As previously described during the second operation I was more relaxed and aware, then when I woke up I felt my body was still asleep I heard and felt without being able to move but aware that I had returned from that wonderful trip.

Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to you?            Then when I pray and I ask my heart knowing myself to be comfortable with my conscience, it is granted to me.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience: Experience was definitely real. As previously described during the second operation I was more relaxed and aware, then when I woke up I felt my body was still asleep and I heard I felt without being able to move but aware that I was back from that wonderful trip.
