7/7/02 FIRST PART: 빛은 말로는 표현을 할 수 없을 정도로 아름다웠습니다.  떠오르는 태양처럼, 산으로부터 치솟아 올랐습니다. 사랑이 몸 구석구석에서 느껴졌고, 제 영혼이 다시 태어나는 듯했습니다. 빛을 받은 땅도 변화하고 있었습니다. 산의 일부가 열렸고 물이 쏟아져 흘렀습니다.
So beautiful was his light, words cannot express, His light was like the rising sun. And like the sun he rose up from behind the mountains  into the sky. Love poured into every part of my being and my soul was revitalized. The planet was also changing under His light. I saw parts of the mountains tear open and gush forth in the form of water falls. 
7/23/02 SECOND PART: 생각하는 것들이 모두 밖으로 들렸으므로, 혼자만의 계획은 불가능했습니다. 단지 저는 밖으로 나아가, 말을 해야 했습니다. 저는 완고하게, 누구냐고 물었습니다. 그녀는 그녀의 얼굴을 가리고 있던 수의를 벗겼고, 저에게 해골을 보였습니다. 그리고, 뼈를 다시 맞추기라도 하는 것처럼 턱을 크게 벌렸습니다. 그리곤 옷으로부터 나와 저를 잡아 먹으려고 달려들었습니다.  그녀는 저의 영혼의 왼쪽 어깨를 물었습니다. 죽음보다 더한 고통이 느껴졌습니다. 바로 그 순간 그녀는 저의 영혼을 또 다시 물어뜯었습니다.  저는 무릎을 꿇고 앉아 신에게 울부짖었습니다. 
All thoughts are heard here so you can't hide a plan for your self. instead you just have to come out and say it. So I said very stern, "who are you!!" she then tore off a part of the shroud that hid her face and showed me only bone and skull. her jaw opened wide, as if dislocated, and she rose completely out of her robe and swooped down at me for a bite. It was my left shoulder, my spirit body. The pain was so great, it was worse than death. so at that very moment as she swooped around in mid air to take on another bite of my spirit, I dropped down on to my knees and cried out for God. 
 아직 그는 전체 이야기를 올리지 못했습니다. 우리는 전체 이야기를 기다릴 것입니다. 게이는 죄가 아닙니다.
David gave us pieces of his story as he has time to write it.  It was worth the wait as it is truly a remarkable experience!  This NDE is a special one that helps to show that gay guys do not go to hell, as some extreme fundamentalist rhetoric would have one to believe.

5/14/02. "저는 기억합니다. 일어서서 주변을 둘러 보았고, 모든 것들이 초록색 톤으로 보였습니다. 그러니까, 초록색 필터를 통해서 세상을 보는 것과 같았습니다. 교회도, 미시시피 강도 초록색으로 보였습니다. 저는 제 머리가 깨진 것은 아닌가 하고 생각했습니다. 저는 제 머리를 감싸고 등을 기대고 누웠습니다. 땅에 누우면서 저는 제 인생을 그림으로 다시 봤습니다.  빠른 속도로 지나가는 열차와 같았습니다. 좋았던 일과 나뻤던 일 모두 지나갔습니다."
"I remember standing up and looking around and seeing that everything was in the color green.  Light green, dark green, all shades of green.  The church was green, Mississippi River was green.  I thought I broke my head, I put my two hands on my head to hold it, and I laid down on my back.  As my body hit the ground, pictures of my life went through my mind.  It was like a freight train of knowledge moving at the speed of light.  Each car was experiences of my life (both good and bad)"

This is one of the more astounding cases that I have ever run across.  I want to express profound gratitude to Bob for sharing his story.  Although he is a bit shy about his dyslexia handicap that prevented him from filling out the NDERF form, and apologized over and over again, he did e-mail us and indicate that he really wanted to share.  I cannot tell you how humble I felt in the presence of such a unique and highly spiritual fellow.  It was such an honor to interview him so that I could help him share his experiences with others.   - Jody

터널을 통과해 나가면서, 마치 끝이 없는 것 같은, 물론 끝은 있지만, 저는 암흑 속에  영혼들이 있다고 느꼈습니다.  그들은 종교적인 세뇌로 인하여 빛을 볼 수가 없었고. 그들이 행한 일들로 인하여 빛을 볼만한 가치가 없다고 느끼고 있었습니다. 
Passing through this area, which seemed as if it could be endless, yet wasn't, I could sense those spirits that were in the shadows, I understood why they wouldn't look into the light, mostly because of the religious indoctrination that had lived by on earth, they felt they were not worthy to look into the light because of actions they had done in the human existence.

"My grandfather brought in a medical colleague for consultation. While they were with her she ceased to breathe and neither my grandfather not his colleague could feel a pulse. They declared her dead but my grandfather was not one to give up easily. He rigged up a battery to give a shock to her heart. She began to breathe again and lived another fifty years."  
Raymond Moody 가 NDE 라는 용어를 만들기도 전, 일반화 되기도 전의 고전적인 경험담입니다.
This is a wonderful NDE story, with most of the classic NDE imagery and after-effects, yet occurring almost a century before Raymond Moody coined term "near-death experience" and long before NDEs were ever publicized.
