Experience Description

It was January, 19, 1976 and I was seven months pregnant with my second child. I went to shower and started having really strong contractions. I felt faint. There was nobody home except for one of my father's farm workers who was out front. The last thing I remembered before fainting and hitting the back of my head on the toilet was me screaming in spanish for the worker to come help me.

The next thing I remembered was flying through a dark tunnel at a speed that felt faster than the speed of light. I could aee a golden light far in the distance. Then the light got progressively closer and bigger until I was at the point of collision with it. And bang! It was like the sparks from a fire cracker. I crashed into what felt like a swimming pool filled with love instead of water.

only Suddenly I was teleported to this gigantic hall that seem like Grand Central station in Manhattan but 100 times bigger. This place was filled with billions of people in white robes; people of all races, ethnicities, gender, and ages. There was an feeling of love that reverberated through everyone. There was also a song that played endlessly. The song was too perfect to describe.

As I was floating and enjoying the sense of love that permeates through the beautiful, gigantic hall or auditorium, a hand grabbed my hand. I couldn't see who it was, but it flew up with me amd we left this place behind. We were flying through the clouds. Then I saw the surface of the earth and a map-sized images of my island. We came closer and closer to earth until I could see the central hospital in my town.

I woke up suddenly in the intensive care unit surrounded by my family and doctors. Two months later, I gave birth to my daughter. In retrospect, I had a significant injury to the back of my skull and I was unconscious for 25 minutes. Yet, in my experience, it seem like 5 million years because time was endless.

How do you consider the content of your experience? Entirely pleasant

Did you feel separated from your body? No I lost awareness of my body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness? More consciousness and alertness than normal. It was like I totally knew everything like I was one with the universe, as if understood it all.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness? When I was in the giant hall or auditorium.

Were your thoughts speeded up? Incredibly fast

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning. Time just seemed as if forever can be a time-limit, meaning there was no time there like the one we measure on earth.

Were your senses More vivid than usual? More vivid than usual

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience. My hearing was incredible, especially when it came to the music. It was much clearer than everyday hearing

The experience included: Passing into or through a tunnel

Did you pass into or through a tunnel? Yes It was a tunnel that felt as if I were in the middle of a dark tornado with a golden, powerful light at the end.

Did you see any beings in your experience? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings? Yes I didn't see any deceased family member but I saw people of all colors and genders, including children there that I assumed are deceased.

Did you see an Unearthly light? Yes A clear golden-light, like a big Roman candle burning as it radiates white-light mixed with golden rays of light coming from it.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world? A clearly mystical or unearthly realm. Yes a big hall filled with the feeling of love and happiness

Did your experience include features consistent with your earthly beliefs? Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience. I felt that this was about love and not things that separate is like religion and race

Did you have a change in your values and beliefs because of your experience? Yes My unequivocal belief in God and his love for me.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice? I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin. I saw what appeared to be millions or billions of people. I heard singing and music. I felt a Being grab me by the hand and fly me away all the way back to earth.

Did you see deceased or religious spirits? I actually saw them

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)? Yes Even though I didn't see the Being that grabbed me by the hand, I'm fairly sure it was our Lord

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? Yes when the hand of that Being grabbed mine, I felt love radiate though his hands and I felt secured

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes With my mom and sister's they thought i was crazy or dreaming

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? Yes I've heard people talk about the afterlife with my father and NDE specifically with my neighbor at the time who had heart surgery

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real. I realized it was real. I saw races I've never seen or was aware of until I went to college, such as Middle Eastern people. We had no TV in the house back then.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real. I view it as a date with God and something that needed to happen in order for me to get closer to him.
