Experience Description

Three months ago, I died for two minutes when I had an asthma attack. This led to complete respiratory failure and a massive heart attack. After I was revived, I spent 3 days in a coma and the next week in the intensive care unit with a tube in my lungs.

I remember very little about dying. But I do remember being in a vast field with gray tents spread everywhere. There were faceless figures. I remember walking away through a canyon. On either side of the canyon were men in white robes with hoods hiding their faces. The last thing I remember was all of them pointing to me. Then the world was swallowed by gray.

I awoke and was told that three days had passed. It was probably a dream and not anything more, but something funny has happened. After a brief recovery, x-rays revealed that my lungs had zero scarring or damage. My breathing has become completely healthy and no asthma. My vital signs have changed completely like I now have low cholesterol, good blood pressure, and good everything. In the past three months, I have lost over 100 pounds and taken up weight lifting. It's hard to describe, but I feel like a different person than the person I was before I died. I still see the white-robed figures in my dreams too.
