Experience Description

I will never forget that day.

It was a day of heavy fog with a street view of less than 50 meters.

Driving home from work, I had a big long timber truck in front of me, which was looking for an exit road. After driving for about 15 minutes behind the truck I decided to overtake, when out of the fog came a big blue truck.

To avoid a direct hit I tried to go behind the timber truck and let him pass. But, I was too slow and the rear wheels of the truck hit my backside and threw me in front of the blue truck. This truck threw me back and then started playing Ping-Pong with me. Finally, I was pushed out of the car and everything that had been inside the car flew under the timber truck. I landed in the snow beside the road. My car landed less than a meter away from me. The car was a write-off and yet I had only a little scratch on my forehead. Nothing else.

What I never will forget was being thrown under the truck and thinking that the rear wheels would kill me, but not one of the wheels hit me.

Then when I hit the snow, I saw my whole life like in a movie running in front of me. I will never understand how, in less than two or three seconds, this could happen. As I landed, I heard somebody very clearly and loudly saying, 'It is still not the time'. I was not drunk or drugged; I was totally clear in my mind.

When the police arrived they couldn't believe that I was the driver and not dead. The first question they asked me was, 'Where is the body of the driver?'
