Experience Description

It was beautiful, indescribable really. I floated to a light from which a kind of goodness emanated. The light was bright but not blinding. I saw the shadow of a being; I think the outline was female. She smiled at me and I felt happy and somehow comforted and protected. I was not afraid. I was happy to find myself immersed in this beautiful light.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down? Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning

Did you see an unearthly light? Yes The light was bright and soft. It was not uncomfortably bright or glaring. It was inviting and comforting and serene.

What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt very happy, comforted, and protected. I was certainly not afraid; it was more a certain curiosity about a new existence.

Was the experience difficult to express in words? Uncertain I had and still have the feeling that no one can truly understand this experience.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience? Yes Sometimes I dream of similar things.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you? I am no longer afraid to die since this experience. One experiences a peace that does not exist on earth.

Have you ever shared this experience with others? Yes Three months after the experience. The people were skeptical but they grinned.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened? Experience was definitely real Because I felt peaceful and somehow happier.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience now? Experience was definitely real I still have no fear of dying and since this experience, I experience life more intensely and I live. Now also small things bring me joy.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience? Yes Sometimes when I am lying very quietly in bed, I can consciously leave my body and watch myself from above.
